Alistar Rework Idea and Bugs

With the rework of sion, and bugfixes to his e so that he could launch monsters into walls (how cool!), and crushing their skulls against the hard trees and stone, it introduced an awesome mechanic that made him a competent jungler with decent clear. The Sion E bug for anyone who doesn't remember: Sion would launch monsters over walls like Alistar currently does, and it was seen as an obvious bug.

When we look at Alistar, he has relatively the same mechanic with his W, and he seems like he was meant to crush champions and large monsters between his enormous horns and the harsh environment of The Rift (instead of launching them over the wall of course.) What would also be a neat addition is if Alistar hits a champion or monster against a wall, he should rend them for a small amount of bleed damage based off of a %(max dmg vs monsters) of his max health.

Onto our next problem with Alistar. His KEY COMBO that defines him as ALISTAR, is bugged.. RIOT. PLZ. I played a few games of him recently, and his combo is completely fucked up! When you w-q a champion, it knocks them up briefly, but proceeds to launch them away from you. This is an extremely frustrating bug, and could also be linked to his 49% win rate. A few crazy ideas I had for a new Alistar could would go something like this: Passive: Alistar can gains 1% increased damage(stacks up to 5 times) for 3 seconds against his attacker whenever he his hit by a spell or auto attack. Q: Charge: Alistar stamps his hoof and and gains increasing movement speed (but cannot turn around unless he deactivates it, think of a mini Sion ulti.) W: Headbutt/Pulverize: Alistar dashes to a selected target and impales them on his horns, causing them to bleed for (20/40/60/80/120 physical damage + 2%/4%/6%/8% of Alistar's maximum health) 5 seconds. Alistar can re-activate his W within a 3 second time window to Pulverize the ground, knocking up all enemies around Alistar. If Alistar does not re-activate this ability, he will deal 5% increased damage to his target for 5 seconds. E: Trample: Passive: Alistar gains 1/2/3/4/5 armor for each ally and enemy champion around him. Active: (Can only be activated while Q is active) Alistar runs down his enemies, dealing 50/80/100/140/180(+ 0.3 Total AD), and slowing them by 20%/30%/40%/50%/60%. R: No Changes (maybe reduce damage reduction to 50%)

Hey! Upvoted your post because I agree about Alistar's situation. He doesn't fit in as a support role, why on earth would we have a tank support scale off of ap at this point? If Riot truly wants clarity in their game they would need to address this.

I think his kit is fine, I like your headbutt idea though. IMO he needs to scale off of hp. I also feel like mana is the wrong resource for him to use. Perhaps they could implement a system like Shyvana's where he works off of rage, only gaining access to his ult at max rage? That would also create some counter play to his ult.
