Guinsoo's in 6.9 - Lethality on Attack Speed based Champions

Would building Guinsoo's, with the newest update where it acts similarly to the old devourer item, be worth the cost of reducing the amount of AD in the rest of the champions build in late game? For example, has no AP scaling yet many popular streamers such as Gosu are building Guinsoo's on her almost every game, and early too. Would the items work well on other champions such as so you can get more stacks, or maybe even to decrease the amount of autos required to reactivate her Headshots?

What are your thoughts.

Cait wants to build crit and headshot becomes fairly trivial outside of lane, I could see kali building it though.

Cait no, even with her ap scaling. She would rather have an inf edge than this. Kalista... maybe. If you were a team comp focused around objectives and had a big beefy front line. The issue is that while 2/3 of the components are good on kali, if she doesn't have a lead by then then the blasting wand will hurt her lane presence, something kali is picked for. In combo with hurricane it would be good in drawn out teamfights.

I could also see on hit kog with this. Effective 7.5 attack speed? Totally building it. And kog uses all the stats on it well.

I didn't even think about Kog using it. I agree that it's not very optimal on much of anyone besides Kog and maybe Kalista situationally. Thank you for your input. summoner 4

Happy to! I would be interested to see it on trist though. And it is perfectly viable on vayne from what I have seen.

I like your idea in turning into a less AP reliant item, however that pushes it father towards marksman/full ad champions and I don't think that's what Riot wants from it. Nice idea though!

AS is fun and people like it, it's honestly not that good of a stat because it makes you vulnerable to being kited

I think Guinsoo's is in a good place where it's useable but not overpowered, even Vayne isn't great with it - she still can't compete with top pick ADCs.

The only thing I'd change is make it suck less for melees, ATM it's favored towards ranged champs leaving champs like Jax in the dust.

I agree completely. Maybe if Riot hadn't removed the half stack requirement for Guinsoo's for melee champions like Jax or potentially even Irelia it would be a lot more versatile.
