Pre-rework Aatrox needed to be removed.

Pre-rework Aatrox was a poorly thought out champ. He was one of many champions that exist whose primary damage source is through unavoidable auto attacks. Sure it feels like it sucks that the champion feels gone, but auto attackers/cassiopeia shouldn’t have a place in a brawling game. His new design has proper in-action counter-play.

Argue other things. Argue that Aatrox’s new abilities would be better on tryndamere or something. I’ll argue that most ranged adc’s also need extensive kit reworks. But i think infatuation with aatrox’s old kit is an unproductive mindset.

here’s my radical hot take: Old aatrox is worse for the game than zoe.

He had counterplay. All of his engage tools were dodgeable. That's the most healthy melee autoattacking kit we've ever had probably. Look at Jax, Yi, Xin, etc... all point and click gapclosers.

Melee autoattacking itself has counterplay. You kite them. When the engage tools also have counterplay then you have a kit with counterplay.

No counterplay, except for :

Dodging his Q and/or interrupting its cast Dodging his E Waiting his ult out and kiting him Passive that is visible that you can play around (you know exactly when he can or not revive, while the new one just presses R for a free one) W that can only be damaging tool OR sustain, never both at the same time.

Basically nothing right? Literally his whole kit except his W/autos had counterplay, he did not need to be removed from the game.

The new aatrox kit is fine, but it should have been a new champ as old aatrox was a well designed champ.

Passive: Ghostcrawler said condition stat boosts are healthy.

Q: A skillshot

W: literally the only unhealthy

E: a skillshot

R: cooldown based stat boost. Arguably unhealthy, but not as terrible as a bunch of other things.

yeah so 1.2 unhealthy abilities of 5. I don't see how that warrants removing an entire fucking kit design.

Old Aatrox> best fucking champ in soloq and competitive teams 51% winrate New Aatrox´´ 48% Winrate usefull in competitive teams amazing and unbalanced early damage and Btter in late game´´. Rito needs to revert this shit rework or champ they did or just keep with this ``Rework´´ And put the old Aatrox into the game again and changing the rework ultimate because he sucks
