The problem with hate speech as insults aren't the words themselves.

It's that those words DO imply a negative view towards the groups that are represented through the words. It is almost impossible in this world to say something without any connotation, only denotation, and that's okay because as humans with goddamn brains we should be able to find ways to talk or debate or insult an individual without also insulting a large part of the population as well. When you call a fellow player a "retard, or f*ggot, or autistic," or any other word that addresses a large group of bystanders, your insult to the individual is also an insult to them. Even something as little as saying "man, that fizz troll-pole is really gay" out of frustration is still demeaning because you're (whether you like it or not) relating something you dislike, something you find reproachful, maybe disgusting, with the LGBT+ community. And while you might not care on the internet, if you use words like that as an insult no matter what your intentions were i'm still going to think you're a bigot or a racist or a homophobe because you don't want to try and improve your vocabulary.

tldr; find other ways to insult players besides already sensitive words.

extra: i've been downvoted before. i've been called a "typical libetard" for pointing out the difference between biological sex and gender. I don't care if this is bullshit tumblr propoganda. somebody is gonna disagree, but that doesn't make me wrong and them right.

THANK YOU DUDE. Someone who finally fucking gets it. I made a post about trying to get this dude permabanned because he called me a stupid Ngger and told me to go choke on a dick and told me i was fucking gy. And some dude had the audacity to comment and say shed a tear. Like WTF? That just proves that dude is fucking ignorant and a bigot and you wanna know what he commented back when i called him on his shit? He said forget it, you must be new to the internet. No sorry i have an actual fucking brain and know that shit is offensive because we dont have the right to say it.

Ok, I know this is hard for the modern neko-fied generation to understand but; If you are particularly sensitive in one area, that is the area that people are strike at. THAT IS THE POINT OF AN INSULT. It's not supposed to make you feel good.

If you are that much of a massive neko, you deserve what you get.... however, while playing League of Legends, we are in Riot's house and Riot makes the rules; Riot's rules heavily lean towards feminist/leftist so 'MUH FEELZ' takes precedent over all.

Do not violate Riot's rules or else risk perma-ban.... but among friends and in casual situations, make fun of the clowns that demand 'safe spaces' and 'trigger warnings'.

Edit: If someone calls me a weeb, which I am, I will not be offended. If someone calls me a nerd, which I am not, I will not be offended but I will be annoyed... because I am no mere nerd, I am Nerd-Lord. Mother #@*$&er.

(FINAL THOUGHTS, JERRY SPRINGER STYLE) No words in and of themselves should ever be suppressed or censored. What matters are not the words but rather the context in which the words are used. Do note that the 'Feelings' of the people involved never comes into play. Remember that, always.
