Can merc treads get a buff

Since everything in this game has a slow and now you are adding a rune that gives you a frozen mallet (I know it has a cooldown and only works on the first auto) can we make mercs feel a little less useless. I buy them and it feels like almost nothing changed. If you don't want to buff mercs then at least buff swifties.
