If I pick Top/ADC, ADC/ Top, Mid/Top or Top/Mid I have to wait about 10 minutes for one game and somebody usually doesn't come through the AFK-Check or doesn't lock in their ban/pick. If I pick Fill or Support as SECONDARY ROLE my queue time is about 1-5 seconds and I get support 100% of the time. Something needs to be done about this. (I'm talking about Silver/Gold MMR)
Because EVERYONE wants to be the carry! Seriously... Not many people enjoy the idea of having a KDA with no to few kills. Going 4/5/13 (about 47% kill participation) or even going 1/1/13 (56% kill participation) are things I'm proud of doing! I really helped my team out with my assists and wards! I do prefer mid lane only because how well I mesh with champions who normally play in that lane. Supporting just kinda comes naturally to me so i just started getting into that role and enjoying those sweet assists knowing that I am part of the reason why our Bot lane carry is fed.
What can be done about it? They cant force people to pick support and its least wanted role.
A good idea would be, that if you play support a game, you could have priority next game in the queue. Like i played 2-3 games as supp, next time i would be in the first places in queue. So this way it would be a little reward there :)

Idk I pick support 1st and mid 2nd and I get games quickly... only I get mid more than I get supp [slayer-jinx-unamused]
I pick mid as my primary and support as my secondary and I get support 80% of the time. And 90% of the time when I do manage to get mid someone forgets to lock in their pick and I'm returned to the lobby and it's another 8 games until I get mid again. Not that I'm complaining as I main support.
I once picked Supp/Fill and waited 6min XD
Que times are long even with a support in the group for me at times (normals), I've had multiple instances of being in que for an hour only for the game to end by 10 minutes and them surrender at 20 or ask for open mid.
In my experience, waiting in the new queue is a lot more frustrating and takes longer than in the old Team Builder. I'm sure there are people who would agree. I hate playing support not because I feel like it's an unimportant role (I have the most respect for it actually), but because whenever something goes bad it's either the jungler's or the support's fault, which is outrageous. Supports in this day and age are underpowered and have a hard time contributing to the game, just in my opinion. I was really looking forward to the new queues because I was like, 'oh, finally I am not absolutely required to always pick Leona support, I can try new things or actually pick my main lane(s)'. But no. Right now, I have been waiting over 30 minutes for a normal game, picked Top/Jung because I want to see my new Officer Vi skin in action and I got so bored that I came to this forum to complain about it. Sorry, but it is kind of humiliating to have payed for a skin and then not being able to see it in a normal game. Honestly, at this point I wouldn't mind being placed in a game with my team being all Bronze V and the enemies all being Plat or sth. RITO pls, this is insane. It's your problem, fix it.
I think providing a list of the roles people currently have picked around your skill level would be helpful. Have a primary and secondary list, with each role as a sub-list, then the amount of people in that role.
At this point if I ever quit this game it will be because of queue times.
I've been selecting Jungle/Mid recently (and Jungle/Top before that) and I've rarely had to wait more than 6 minutes.
This is at Platinum ELO though, so it's possible we just have a higher portion of players willing to support.

I noticed that too, being a solo player in dynamic queue is hard sometimes. Right now I'm in queue for 15 minutes, but it is not always that bad .
Wait times are the price people pay for wanting to be the next Faker.... There is value in the support role, embrace it.
