The new Rod of Ages

So playing around with the new rod of ages on ryze, I came to a very scary realization. The item is CRUSHING with it's new stat distribution. I like to build 2 RoA on Ryze after my tear (it's a bit slower, but it makes me feel like a much tankier powerhouse in the late game) and When I finally finished my second one at 10 stacks and finished off my Seraphs, with no pen boots and 7.8 magic pen in my runes with 0/17/13 masteries, I was able to half health the enemy jinx with just a root. Has anyone else been having insane effects with the new Rod of Ages on other champions, such as Malz, Annivia, Kass? Or is it simply that due to the natural tendencies of Ryze that this is such an insane change?

It has extremely strong synergy with Seraph's now. Seraphs Embrace was already a strong item before, and now it's just plain ridiculous. It's now a 140 AP item when completed on any champ you buy it on, and with extra mana it scales even higher. Now that ROA got a mana buff AND an AP buff, Seraph's is even more ridiculous. ROA + Seraph's makes Seraph's give 180 AP.

Honestly I would buy Seraphs on almost any champ that can effectively use a ROA at this point.

Seraphs+full rod alone makes seraphs passive give you 97 AP (well full stacks both on kassadin not sure others) but i wouldn't be surprised of the damage. ROA gives like 800 mana when fully stacked i think. So with your 2 roas and the seraphs that is like 2600 bonus mana which alone 2600 times .03 is 78 bonus AP just from the mana of all 3 items, not including the ap from each or your own mana or mana of other items.

It's pretty broken on Anivia. I mean RoA was always awesome on her, but now its even better

Powerful, But I don't think I would get a second RoA just for that. With the massive AP that the two items already give, I would bolster that AP with a new, more powerful death cap. It might be good on Ryze who has the mana scaling, but I would go Death cap third.
