Cho too OP

So I was playing a game as garen against a cho. I was unable to farm the whole lane phase and just got pushed and pushed and pushed and pushed. I managed to get the first kill on him, but once he got rod of ages and 2 stacks i was completely useless and couldn't fight him at all. I even got one gank that turned out bad for me but we still got the kill (jungler was terrible). I know that I was pretty countered but still, even countered lanes have a chance at winning, unless you're countered by cho. Why is cho so overpowered.

You haven't played a game on that account in over a week let alone Garen. Besides that Cho is very good against garen b/c true damage. You need to be offensive early while he is weak but not push too hard. Make him come out if he wants to farm so you can kill him. He is strong right now b/c he has great ap scaling but he isn't OP or unbeatable. Just really frustrating to play against as a melee if you get behind.

Well, when you said you had a gank that turned out bad, that put him ahead already. So Cho > Garen is invalid.

As Garen, you have to punish Cho for his last hit or else he'll just get back his hp and mana.

If you max Q first, you're in trouble.

If you can't dodge his Q, you're in trouble.

If you're standing in a line with a minion in between you and him, you're in trouble. His spikes doesn't trigger minion aggro.

You said you were pushed pushed pushed, how can you not farm then? Minions will be at your turret and you can farm under turret. Cho will be forced to push lane because of his spikes.

However, once he gets his stacks up, it's almost impossible to solo him unless you have a ton of MR.

"I lost to Cho even though he countered me, he's so totally unbalanced."

I'm a Cho main, and I never give a shit about Garen. Actually I do, up until level 4 or 5; after that, Cho shouldn't care about him anymore. Garen struggles against high health opponents who he can't whittle down before ulting them. Cho's vorpal spikes also counter garen, because if you stand in the minions and get hit by them, your passive stays off and you can't regenerate.

Your best bet IMO is to go Tank Garen; Black Cleaver, Sunfire, Spirit Visage. Once you get enough health and magic resist, Cho won't be able to hurt you anymore, and you can constantly sit on him with Sunfire's damage and Judgement and you'll slowly knock him down.
