Exactly what the title says! As a support main, sometimes playing the same champs can get kinda boring and though I'm a Taric main at heart I also enjoy switching it up every so often and was wondering what people generally like to see as support :)
No matter what supp my ADC prefers I will play Zyra. Cause fuck the ADC. I mean the enemy ADC. And the enemy support. And the enemy jungler, if he comes by.
I think most ADCs don't really care who their support is as long as they are actively trying to win the lane. My biggest pet peeve when I play ADC are supports who stand way behind me in lane and basically do nothing except leech experience. There's only a few supports that can be effective when they are behind their ADC (Janna and Soraka come to mind.) With nearly every other support you should be in a line with your ADC so you can contest CS, engage if situations are favorable, or save your ADC's ass if things go wrong.
I personally like combo lanes. If I'm playing someone like Miss Fortune I like lock down tanks like Nautilus and Alistar. If I'm playing Jhin or Ashe or Caitlyn I like supports with snares like Morgana and Zyra. If I'm playing Lucian I like Braun and Taric. If I'm playing Kog'Maw or another attack speed ADC I like Lulu, Karma, Sona or anyone else with heals or shields.
Lots of adc love soraka and nami. Some love lux because of her utility and burst and some love thresh, alistar and leona for their peel. The ones that love blitz just want a freelane, that's all. Tbh thresh and alistar to me are the most effective supports especially alistar because that guy can peel the fk out for his adc.
Nami and janna have wonderful peeling for a utility support.

I hate mage supports without any hard CC.
While Lulu is really good right now, I just don't like laning with her.
I like champs like Ali, Blitz, Thresh, Janna, Sona. Soraka.
Thresh and blitzceank. I don't main adc though.

I was a support main last season and picked up playing mostly adc this season. I love picking after my supports especially as i climb back to gold. In laning phase 9/10 times its the support who dictates how the lane will be played. My favorite adc is ezreal but if someone picks thresh/blitz/anyone with a lot of peel ill pick caitlyn or someone with more targeted abilities. Everyone loves playing with zyra XD. If im playing zyra my adc is either gonna have plenty of room to farm or were getting kills early. I love it
Well, I don't ADC that much, anymore, but having an allied Blitzcrank as Ashe was always awesome.
Just a secondary - but I still drop a cent or two here:
I prefer 2 kinds of Supports: Beefy Sustain and APC, both allow me a pretty calm laning by drawing alot of attention, anyone who offers Sustain/Engage cannot be ignored as well as an AP-DMG-Source.
I dislike passive Support who tend to stand behind their Carrys - not necessarily because they're bad picks, but because they require alot knowledge to be effective and I can only remeber a handfull good traditional Supps. Most I've seen hide behind me thinking an occasional Shield is enough for me to win the lane against 2... sigh...

Most supports usually work with my Jhin, but Leona is nice
I love to have Braum when i'm more AA based like Jinx/Ashe
I like any supp with a snare if i'm a combo(er) ADC like MF
I'd probably say a good thresh or Nami. Nami has heals cc and a speed up, and her e feels really good. Good threshes always get good hooks and good lanterns feel really nice

I played as a Jhin/Xerath lane a couple months ago and it was crazy fun.
Land some poke then retreat to your tower to spam artillery for free kills.
