Why do casters look down on Guinsoo's Rage Blade so much? It is consistent sustained damage and there is no better tower killer. ADCs do sustained damage. Tristana is a tower killer. It seems like a good pairing plus she has AP ratios.

Follow up question. Why aren't supports building Zeke's anymore?

Why do I never see Ezrael build a Trinity Force and I never see a Corki build a Frozen Gauntlet?

Why didn't Mao Kai get picked in TSM vs. CLG? It was better than good enough vs. IM. What happened to make Maokai no longer meta?

I kind of wish Bjergeson would have picked Zed. Was there a good reason not to in game 5?

There are a lot of tanks that are not being played right now. Will we ever see Volibear in pros? I feel like he is good vs. Poppy.

If this is the tank meta and nobody is banning Vayne... why isn't Vayne getting picked or played?

Is Ryze really strong if you are not Faker? I haven't seen much success with him outside of Korea.

What questions have I not asked and maybe should be asking about how the LCS went?

Oh yeah, Maokai got banned out a lot. I should have noticed that. Was paying more attention to Poppy, Gragas and Ekko.

I can tell u about vayne. After botrk got nerfed she dropped on tier list of adc. Believe it or not she is one of weakest adcs atm. But biggest reason is her horrendous laning phase, her low range ,her bad midgame, her reliance on bad opponents. Corkis rocket doesnt proc iceborn,ezreals q does.

Ryze is actually insanely strong if played correctly. The problem of course is that every region has their own style, and most of the "western" style relies heavily on tanks/AD carries top (barring lulu/lis) and utility mages mid. It could also explain why Bjerg didn't take zed, as it doesn't fit the overall trend right now.

Voli (much like mundo) will probably never see any actual LCS use until he gets some buffs. While he can be strong, skilled teams can usually just kill everything around him and/or kite the crap out of him.

i'm of course not a pro, but i can maybe answer some of your questions a bit.

Q: Why do casters look down on Guinsoo's Rage Blade so much? A: you get pickax then then you have to wait for about 2k gold. during that time, you can't really do much, but it's not a bad build for trist, though it is a bit less common. it helps trist's mid game and her late game is still really strong. from hearing them, they aren't actually looking down at it, they were fairly hyped on it really.

Q: Why aren't supports building Zeke's anymore? A: other support items are just being prioritized a bit more right now. it can also depend on the games and situation. i don't know too many details on this though.

Q: Why do I never see Ezrael build a Trinity Force and I never see a Corki build a Frozen Gauntlet? A: with ezreal, you want better kiting since his get away is up more often and he can use Q to poke more often than corki can. corki wants the damage from triforce more to burst people down.

Q: Why didn't Mao Kai get picked in TSM vs. CLG A: they could have, but they just wanted other picks instead, like grag.

Q: I kind of wish Bjergeson would have picked Zed. Was there a good reason not to in game 5? A: watching games now, so not too sure of details right now. looking at the comp on the other team, picking an assassin would be hard vs all the cc and peel. the main target would be trist, and she had massive amount of peel.

Q: Will we ever see Volibear in pros? A: if voli is buffed maybe, but as he is, there are better picks for what the teams want. poppy gives a lot of cc, it's not just about damage. he is also easier to kite than poppy or other picks since he has to actually run at the team to get anyone.

A: vayne isn't strong right now, even with the meta as it is. other adc are just dealing more damage most of the game than vayne would (it would have to get to late game and if they picked vayne, that would become really hard since they couldn't really win any teamfights for a long time).

I kind of wish Bjergeson would have picked Zed. Was there a good reason not to in game 5? Zed can be countered hard, and he falls off. item 3157 item 3140 , and any tank zed does negative damage to. Tsm also probably had specific team comps they brought in, like triple adc, etc. and zed just doesnt feel like he'd be too good right now for lcs.

_Follow up question. Why aren't supports building Zeke's anymore? _ I personally think its a good item, but I also think it can only be good on certain supports. I also think there are better choices to go with other than zekes. So basically, no one has time to get zekes.

Melee casters like Darius or Illaoi have the natural strength to smash turrets with ease, and most of them have a sheen item anyways. Mages gain bonus damage to towers the higher their AP is, so once they have a deep well of power, the tower falls pretty quickly even to them.

Supports don't build Zeke's Harbinger much anymore because their bond refuses to actually push any damn lanes or generally stick close to them once it actually becomes relevant, and the stacks end up getting burned on a jungle camp.

As for the rest... I want to strangle all concepts of a meta with garotte wire and feed its corpse into a meat grinder. People don't actually have a thought of their own in this game anymore, and every time there's some championship somewhere, everyone changes their flavor of the month champion and thinks they're going to get all the pentakills with them because someone on TV did.
