Kalista's Passive Martial Pose

Problem: Kalista's passive is essentially Ezreal's E, except with 0CD, instant cast and no drawbacks (ignores most CC). This makes getting in range incredibly hard, makes it extremely easy to kite people and makes landing skillshots on her nearly impossible. She is widely considered one of the two or three best ADCs in the game, far above most others.

Solution: Give Kalista's passive an internal CD of 3-4 seconds, so that she cannot constantly hop, but rather must use each hop tactically and as a dodge or a maneuver, rather than a perma "You can't touch me!" ability.

.... Your solution is piss poor and doesnt address the fact that the rest of her kit is lackluster, and her passive is integrated into basic facets of ADC play.

When does the hop become a problem, do you think? Pay attention to when it becomes overbearing. Did you pay attention? Did you? Good.

So you noticed that kalista actually has three distances she can hop? Did you notice when that distance changed? Good! youre learning! Thats right, when kalista buys boots, T1 and T2, her hop distance increases. At T0 (no boots) her hop isnt useful at all. At T1 her hop doubles in distance, and becomes much more useful as it allows her to dodge fast moving, thin skillshots.

And then at T2 that distance doubles again, making her hop far to long for what it is.

So, how do you balance a passive thats putting a champion on the precipice of OP? You remove the T2 scaling.

Why is it so hard for people to understand that its JUST her T2 scaling that pushes her over the edge?

Not ANOTHER one of these threads. Your suggestion as simple as it sounds to me feels like it would mechanically ruin her. It wouldn't feel right.

Unreliable would be random CD or activation or relying on Crits - not once every 3 seconds after the last one. It would be far from useless; you would just have to DECIDE to use it, rather than it being all the time.
