Veigar had is ult adjusted so it didnt 1 shot people anymore.

Syndra is the worst performing midlane right now. How is anyone complaining about her? She's barely able to stay above 40% win rate.
Veigar had always the same damage output from that spell. He just needed to press R and nothing else. While Syndra "misses" everything like you stated, she actually spent 12 seconds "missing everything" to pull a 6 spheres R with 0% cdr, 9.6 seconds with 20% cdr and 7.2 seconds with 40% cdr.
Syndra isn't oneshotting you if you itemize properly, and once she has used her R, her burst comes from easy to miss skillshots. By the way, most of the people i've faced as Syndra pretended i "missed everything" while i actually hit most of my skillshots before pressing the "oh shit im loosing button" and "instantly killing them". They were just too proud or blinded by memes to see it. Maybe this is the case?
Edit: Veigar's R didn't always have the same damage output, but it required no setup anyway.
That's a fair point.
Syndra needs a minor change where she isn't rewarded for missing borderline spammable Qs. Each hit q should debuff a target to increase her Rs damage. Stacking x times for a moderate duration so it can be stacked reasonably.
