@Meddler, Without Mana Pots, Morgana's Passive will be Useless

Morgana's passive is already underwhelming - just look at the attached image where she can do more damage than anyone in the game...and heal less than everyone in the game. It doesn't provide as much sustain as you would hope, especially given how Morgana's main source of damage only returns 1/3 of the value of her passive.

Without mana pots, the situation is going to be even worse. Morgana uses a lot of mana to farm and heal from her passive; without mana pots she will run out of mana rapidly and not be able to heal from her passive much at all.

Is Morgana's mana usage or passive up for changes with the removal of mana pots?

She already got a mana cost buff on her Q I believe.

Yes, that was primarily a buff to support Morgana (Morgana's passive is completely useless to support Morgana as it is). Spamming Q in lane as mid Morgana will run you out of mana extremely rapidly. This is talking about her W and passive together. As her primary farming and damage tool, she gets most of her sustain from using W on minion waves. The problem is, if her current mana costs remain the same or her passive is not improved considerably, she will run out of mana faster in lane, sustain less, and overall just take a massive nerf to lane phase in pre-season.

so ermm what are we getting in exchange for losing mana pots? nothing? cause i think energy and resourceless champions have it good enough as it is. wait are they removing the mp portion of flask to?

So far it doesn't look like we're going to be getting all that much other than a big ol nerf. Ain't it grand.
