Why Is There No Pause Option?

Why is there no pause vote function in this game (asides from Tournament modes)?

So many times a player DC's at the worst time, and it always results in one team taking full advantage as soon as they find out what happened.

What exploitable advantage can someone get from implementing this?

Could we add if:

A player disconnects
Remaining members on team can /pause to vote, all must vote Yes

Even if the game is paused for 1 or 2 minute...That would literally be a blessing.

At least add this for any ranked games...

How do you think the pause option will go? The other team isnt gonna want to pause. Furthermore, if you make it so the afk player's team only needs to vote for the pause how many premades will abuse that to lock people in game?

A few years ago riot did some tournament thing for casual players called battlegrounds. In this toutnament you could pause the game. And it turned into an absolute nightmare. In the two game we won, the enemy team trolled us by constantly pausing the game for no reason, and then we resumed it just to have it paused again, it took us 70 and 90 minutes respectivly to finish games that were actually only 25-30 minutes long

In the third game we were loosing and my teammates started trolling with pause, and in that exact moment I left that team for my own good, I quit the game and dunno how that tournament continued.

Underrated feature to be honest. CS:GO has it implemented pretty well and I have 1.5k hours in that game and I've never seen it "Abused" like another comment here is saying it will be. I think a pause feature would be a neat little 'Quality-of-life' feature that Riot could add to the game, probably very easily.

If everyone agreed, then you would have to depend on the enemy team to be honorable, when many times your own teammates will sabotage your game, so that is a tall order.

Great Idea though. Knowing Rito, it will never happen.
