After the gank...

As a jungler I have a question. If I gank mid, then give the kill to my midlaner, then push the wave to the tower. Then have my midlaner complain to be about taking his CS. Am I in the wrong? Should I just leave once we get the kill? The faster we push the lane the faster we A) force enemy jungler to cover mid B) deny enemy mid laner XP and CS and C) allow my midlaner to roam easier. Isnt this what I am supposed to do? Mt plat 5 friends said I should never take your laners farm.
