Spoiler: Riot is intentionally tanking League so they can release a new game.

That or they are making the same mistakes blizzard (activision) made with world of warcraft. Either way, RIP League.

Real talk: If Riot gave a damn about their playerbase or their game being a good product, they would revert to season 3-5 while they spend the better part of a year fixing the pile of problems their greed has created, until finally coming back with a game that will stand the test of time. In reality, they will simply continue to milk it for all its worth as they ride it into the ground.

Just because WoW brings in money does not make it good. Just because people will continue playing league now that is has all but been destroyed does not make it good. Riot has had YEARS to address these issues that are going to destroy their game and they did nothing. 137 champions, but only around 30 are ever playable at one time. The preseason is even worse than last season, this game has peaked and will begin it's steady downfall now.

I mean, if you go watch the opening ceremony for blizzcon, just compare when he announces the new xpac for WoW to when he announces classic wow, a game that was released, i believe 11 years ago?

xpac reaction: people make noise because they don't want devs to feel too bad

WoW classic reaction: people legitimately excited

It might be an unpopular opinion, but people in the gaming industry just don't have the same passion for the product that they did back then. The current version of WoW is utter garbage compared to what vanilla WoW was and could still be if it hadn't been destroyed by greed. Rito is no different, they refuse to take a step back and look at the actual product they are producing rather than their bottom line and how to make the number there larger, and funnily enough, this will lead to the bottom line shrinking beyond repair.

Your analogy is pretty bad considering the amount of money WoW still brings in. But yes, their balance team is worse than WoW's pvp balance team. Its like they aren't even trying, I would love to work for that department, sit around and play the game and do nothing. Because if any balances do occur, it happens years down the road. And by then they have another OP champ out.

On the other hand, for the first time since his release, lee sin was not a staple of worlds. so, i mean good job there, only took 5 years to begin to address a problem, the only problem is that now, you have to actually fix it, rather than just shove sejuani down everyone's throats as his replacement to fight against the almighty gragas, who is STILL being picked every year, every game. 1/10 riot, and that is being generous.

I doubt it.
