What are you talking about? It's a skill matchup. None counters the other. The only difference is that Renekton requires far less skill to play at like 90%+ potential while riven needs tons of anicanceling.
Also, riven is the best top laner along with irelia. Renekton is nowhere near that calibre.

Renekton is balanced bud, Riven on the other hand....get that broken piece of shit out of here. A champion that is supposed to be "hard to play" should NEVER have almost a 55% winrate with almost a 10% playrate. With those stats she should be hotfix nerfed immediately.
But hey nerf Renekton because you probably got your ass handed to you against a Renekton as Riven lol.
While it is a renekton favoured match-up, riven can make any match-up she gets countered from bearable at the very least (riven beats renekton easily with aftershock btw). Anyways, i main riven, i think she's above average but on top of spear of shojin and conquerer, it's pretty hard to tell if she's actually broken. I also think plenty of people are just bad at going vs rivens, they have 0 clue how to go versus her (at least anything below diamond 3). If they nerf spear of shojin and conquerer and she still has an above 52% winrate, some minor nerfs are fine, a good riven player won't care. Definitely shouldn't nerf renekton, i hate the champ but only because you can't headbutt with him if he isn't a moron, just play smart, he's worthless later in the game.
I'll be real though, i think most people just don't know how to go versus a riven, people see a winrate %'s and think a champ's broken or shit based on that. They just can't use their brain. Bard has a 53% winrate, is he close to broken or above average? No, champ blows dick rofl. Ahri/Quinn 52%, they good? No, they blow, Akali 46%, she's shit? Honestly, i play her and she feels fine to me, the nerfs made her more fair just people can't play the champ. Yorick 54% winrate, broken? Annoying for sure, but doubt it. Reksai currently 55%, haven't seen him honestly, but doubt he's broken, could be wrong though!...but definitely doubt it.
People learned to play riven and does who didn't stay ignorant to the match-up, there's conquerer/ spear of shojin, AND how it's a bruiser meta top lane for the most part (and you know what that means, skill match-ups for riven, she lives for that), her winrate jumped, simple. But if they must nerf her, just hit her health regen, revert ult change, lower her armour, or revert ki burst and and valor from 7.22. Or all of that, just to start off, a good riven player won't care, but might as well make the community feel like it'll do something.
Both are stupid broken. Just gut them both.
