It's not an issue solely revolving around Yi but yes, Yi is a high single target champion, Baron is a single entity so that should be expected

if you hate him then dont let him get kills. he has no CC so as long as you ward up you can effectively block his attempts at ganking you
Yeah. I also have an issue when he can do over 3k damage with aa, aa, q. Like sure there's the "cc him" and you should be fine right? Well not if my team feeds even though I'm hella fed and play correctly and use cc. Oh... and he's got a sterak's plus his w plus ga so forget 1-shotting him when I stun him... I'll still die in 2 aa's and a q. But don't worry... he needs to be that strong so that he's playable in high elo. Never mind that the problem hasn't ever been with his stats but rather with his very exploitable kit... provided your team knows how to exploit. I guess 7/2/9 and full build tanky bruiser should die under tower to aa, aa, q cuz the other guy's playing a yi and that's just how it is lol.
Master Yi is honestly a r%%%%%ed champion. He was disgustingly overpowered even before his rework. The fact that you can literally have an invulnerable spell every 3 seconds with his ult he's immune to slows and his auto attack speed is out of this world makes the game unfair and ruins the fun for everyone that plays against a decent Master Yi. He can solo Barons, Dragons, Rift Heralds, anything..... with minimal items and has no weakness other than cc. CC only works within the 3-second window where he is not invulnerable. On TOP of all that he has a heal where everyone's autos and abilities do nothing because he just heals over the dmg taken. This champion needs a serious nerf.

the reason why he can easily do baron is because of the 3rd item 
it heals from his true damage and lowers damage he takes from baron
