Why nerf Kin?

New Patch rolls out and Riot is talking about how she was too dependent on Scuttle, so they removed Wolf's monster debuff and replaced it with a weaksauce heal that consistently under-performs.

How does this help us become less reliant on scuttle? I now feel less confident in my early game because I consistently have less HP than I otherwise would. Gromp and Blue now deal much more damage to me in the early game. Wolves, only a tiny bit more. If I don't get scuttle, I have less HP than in the last patch. Why do this?

Lmao what.

They originally changed them to the slow because the heal was too strong...

hur hur lets make kindred less dependent of scuttle by nerfing her clear effectiveness early game and thus making her more dependent of the heal, scuttle provides

great logic rito

Well, I'm not seeing it. The heal isn't keeping up with the AS debuff.

"Kin" can you just say "Kindred", it took me a few seconds to understand what you were talking about

And tbh Kindred need either a full rework or a full revert to her release state, their kit was really fine, it was just a matter of numbers (and IF they're going to rework them someday, I have 2 hopes :

  • Their kit being either more assassin oriented, or more Karthus oriented (death itself huh)
  • Wolf being part of the champion, and not just a thing you use twice in their kit and you don't even interact with

I've seen a recent video about the concept creation of Kindred, and their first ultimate was a really thin skillshot (note that Kindred pre-concept turned into Jhin and even High-noon Jhin is literally what Kindred was supposed to look like) that instantly killed the target (the reason they didn't think it was a good idea it's either it was purely useless because how hard it was to manage to shoot someone with it, or just too broken on how easy it would touch a target). Now the new ultimate is plain useless, way too easy to fuck up (easier than Bard) and is just useless

Kindred is in an awesome spot right now. If any they might be too strong. Wolf attack speed bugfix caused that. You are ranged, so you have to kite camps
