Stuck in S1

I've been climbing for the past couple of games, and finally, I have reached the point where I can literally taste the gold. My winrate has been dropping, and I just cant seem to get past 50 lp.

I'm not terribly bad, but still im not "carry-the-game" good. I mean, my mechanics aren't ALWAYS on point, but my in game decisions are usually pretty good.

How do I guarantee myself some wins in ranked as a solo player? I want to get out of silver, the trolls, feeders, and smurfs are really tiring after 2 whole seasons.

Realize that if you're not a troll/feeder/smurf that your team is guaranteed a maximum of 4 of such players while the other team has 5... Thus, if you're gold material, you will get out of Silver given enough games. Also that there are things about your own play that can improve and improving those is the only way because you can't control other people that you have met in one game.

Play normals , dont play ranked on days when you are under-performing in normals

Been there man, I know the feel. Its never a bad idea to just take a break after you've had a terrible streak of games. Gotta let that shit get behind you before you go back in.

Relax, chill a bit in ARAM or norms and stay determined.

That elo is a cancer right now. People just all in, and int. The best advice i can give you, is play a snowballing pick, and deny farm as hard as you can. Cheese someone, and go to town.

I've been in silver 1-> g5 promos 3 times now. its not that im stuck or anything, its just a bit ridiculous when 1 team is guaranteed a terrible pick and a bot lane whos going 0-20 because they refuse to acknowledge the katarina roaming bot and the mad pings from all the other team mates.

theres still boosted players where they dont belong. the ladder needs more time to weed these players back to bronze where they belong before you can reliably climb by being better again.
