Nothing on the PBE yet, so anxiety is beginning to set in whether or not we will see the replacement items on patch 8.2
Not having spooky ghosts will ruin my build path on a champion that I love to play, so not having it in for a patch will certainly affect whether I'll be playing that patch or not.

Speckleton2 votesI've been talking with friends about what to do with items now the new items are so awful, especially the spellthief line almost 1000 gold upgrade for mediocre stats, and no spooky ghosts? Not to mention that I don't get the small speed boost I used to stay in safe positions when playing squishy supports
and the main reason I bought ruby sightstone, the item cooldowns, has been removed as well
there was already an option to merge your sightstone and support item together now its no longer an option, its mandatory
I understand your feeling of dread if these updates go to live, its just going to take away a lot of freedom we need the replacement items or else its just going to feel awful
But oh well, we'll deal with it
DaCurtis1 votesThey're siphoning the actives, (and maybe the frost queens reward), into a new item. Ghosts will return rest assured, I just don't know if it's this patch or not.

And cause had to go a suppitem and a sightstone and both filled to palces on your inventar, you hadsooner or later (most times sooner) to etiher combine them or at elast upgrade the Golditem (ruby upgrade was less common) to not waste your itemslot with half finished items. New as well as the other 2 items you could just stay like that and focus on other items. Ofcourse if you want to invest more in Vision or be tankier just by adding health you still can always upgrade it with a ruby anytime you want.
Nor Sure if Supports like the change. Many talk about diversity. But what i think is that that will help to increase Numbers of Supports. Cause sometimes less diversity is easier, if a player has not to think about what he needs to finish first, golditem, sightstone, ardent, redemption, the hell meta it currently is. Affording these 850 gold in the begin is not hard and even fi you just buy the 1st version 
, you can still stack the mission (just not get the sightstoneactive until you upgrade it with 500 gold) and focus on other items if the meta or you prefer. I probably would now have a higher desire to play support as before. Even if i always bought sightstone cause i'm not a prick it felt less exciting as geting direct combat stats from an item, which can help you dominate the lane more actively as warding vs the jungler.

Hey, I appreciate the thought out response. And yeah, your completely right, it helps supports a lot that are forced to buy those items.
My case is just different, because my friends are like, silver/gold level trolls that run kill lanes bottom and skip sightstone, hahaha If they bring back some of the fun aspects that are being removed eventually as new items, then I have no problem with these changes

Mysticman892 votesI'd be a little surprised if it was as soon as 8.2, as they said they were exploring options for adding them again, not that they 100% were (which they'd more or less have to be at that point if they were gonna add them for 8.2, as patches get locked pretty soon after the release of the prior patch).
Expecting them to show up when they do a pass on mage items, which would probably be a 'big' patch so 8.4 or 8.6. Spooky ghosts (and the 'go' button of talisman) will be missed.
DaCurtis1 votesAh. Thank you. I saw the term 'AP Pass' used by a rioter and I didn't really get it. This brings a bit of clarity, cheers. (although it sucks heavily it won't be in the game as they take it off the support items.)
