We need more "ping" options
As of date we only have unique 5 ping options: On my way, Need assistance, Caution, Danger and Enemy missing. Then we have the 6th ping which is the typical blue ping which can mean so many things. I think Riot can do more with their ping system and am proposing that they make the ping interface from a 4 directional option into an 8 directional option (basically adding in 4 more ping emotes). Here are the 4 pings I propose we add into the ping interface:
Ward here: Ever find yourself running out of wards or you just don't buy them so you have to rely on others to ward for you? This ping option will explicitly tell your teammates where you expect a ward to be placed. Riot can be all fancy and explicitly state pink or green wards but I think the simple option of "any ward here" will fit the bill.
Enemy warded: You're in lane, you called for a gank, your jungler is actually coming (this may be one of the good ones) but just before they show up the enemy support wards the river. Your jungler is coming down this way and is just about to come within sight of the ward's vision since he is almost at dragon pit. An "enemy has warded here" ping would be real useful in this scenario.
Team Fight/Group up: More of a mid/late game ping. You're taking a tower of you feel a team fight about to happen. You ping this and call your allies to stop what they are doing and join you at the location you indicated. It's a heavier ping indication than "need assistance" which is meant more for calling nearby allies. Group up is all allies.
Ambush: You saw an enemy leave a lane. You know they are alone. One of your assassin teammates is in that area. Ping this to notify them that a lone enemy is coming that way. Let them know to set up an ambush for a free kill.
And just to verify how the new interface would look compared to the current one I'll draw a text diagram of what I mean, the first diagram is how it currently is, the second is the new interface:
X1X <--Old | New --> 123 2P3 <--Old | New --> 4P5 X4X <--Old | New --> 678
On the old interface P = Blue/Blank ping 1 = Danger 2 = Enemy missing 3 = On my way 4 = Need assistance
The new interface would probably mix things around a bit if ever implemented
