Is it just me?

Or is it impossible to play LoL around the holidays? Any other time of the year and gameplay is fine and smooth. But today and the past few days, I've DC'd multiple times and it's really getting on my nerves. Is it Riot's servers or something with my provider on the holidays? Is there any way to address this?
