Would anyone actually be mad if an "OP" mobility killer came out?

Teemo Shrooms don't cut it anymore, to many dashes.

An actual champion that thrives off of killing mobile ones might actually briig the less mobile ones back into meta/playability as well.

They picked Kalista and Ekko ? Grab a mobility-killer and punish them. They pic something more traditional, like Lux and Sivir ? Maybe Mr/Mrs. Anti-mobility isn't the right pick here.

I'm not saying I know how to implement this (interrupts/disables dashes maybe?) but would people really be OK if that happened?

Counter to mobility is called lock on CC, which Riot has been busy trying to remove it completely from the game for a long time.

This mobility killer champ most likely won't come out, ever.

Because they mostly just wanna keep selling you the idea that the only solution to mobility is more mobility for whatever reason.

Veigar was already kind of a mobility killer. Look what happened to him.

They already exist. Mobility is countered by CC. And before you say "Oh CC counters everything" no, that's not what I mean. I'm not talking about stuns, I'm talking about snares and silences. If they're snared or silenced they can't use any of their mobility. That's when you burst them down.

I hope that some melee gap closers would be exempt, as to not give immobile ranged champions too much power D:

the problem is, that anything that can deal with high mobility usually makes low mobility champs absolutely worthless.

so unless you can find a way to counter high mobility without simultaneously completely locking down low mobility champs, its probably a bad idea.

Well, the problem with that is such a champion would be virtually impossible to balance. If you can't run from them, then you'll be forced to fight them; and if they're ahead, that means they'll stay ahead.

But as with any idea, it all depends on the kit and how it's worked; very rarely will I hear an idea and outright say "no, that's stupid". (Does happen though, one person wanted a Karthus ult that also damaged towers; told him straight-up how stupid that was)

Drukyul6/2/2015, 6:10:06 PM2 votes

need more targeted snares

I feel like poke mages are a big counter to hyper mobile champions if played in the right comp. Most highly mobile champions lack range and eventually get hit by poke.
