Here why I (and possibly others) play new champions in ranked

YOU LOST LMAO·1/26/2017, 6:46:49 PM·3 votes·618 views

BECAUSE IT'S HARD TO LEARN IN NORMS

-- Elo's ranges from one rank below, the same rank as you, and one rank ahead of you. (mixed elo's). -- SO MANY OFF META PEOPLE -- Less serious gameplay

Hey don't look at me, I'm the one who went 6W1L as first time gragas and in ranked

This would be why players ban new (or reworked) champions in ranked games.

Sorry dude, you don't get to learn on someone else's dime

It's not your team's responsibility to give up their LP just so you can learn a new champ. How selfish of you ffs

I dont quite understand what you mean by its hard to learn in normal. For one if your leaning a new champion it doesn't matter if your up against good or bad players because both of those scenarios will give you positive outcome in learning the champion. Two, do it against the AI's if normal isnt what your looking for but for the love of god do not do it in a rank where you are not proficient with the champion. You are not only risking your self of decreasing the chances of winning a rank game but to others that are in your team.

There are pros and cons of playing a new/reworked champ in ranked. Pro: Most people are not familiar enough with the champ and it's harder to counter him/her. Con: You might not be good with the champ and get demolished.

In competitive environments people will automatically think of the cons when faced with something like that. Don't be surprised when you get flamed. I don't do it when i see it but i understand why people would.

I completely disagree - I play the majority of my games in Normal Draft, and people take it very seriously. You just don't know what your talking about, or your trying to excuse your behavior. Either way, your wrong.

**Also, I generally play normals @ Plat levels, but I'm currently unranked, will probably roll out of that @ silver. **

sorry but you can learn the very basics of the champion against bots, also who you fight against and what they are using is irrelevant when playing to learn a champion. People are even more willing for you to play something new in normals than in ranked where you have no idea what the passive even does or what to even build
