High ping isn't necessarily bad, anything under~150 is playable as long as it is stable. Its changes in ping that really screw you over.

this is true, but if you play for 3 months at 150 and get used to the timing, then goto 90, huge difference.

you basically have to relearn the timings

I've been playing between 180 and 280 since season 2 on the NA. Then I tried to play Shaco in the BR server (I'm brazilian). Steady 50 Ping. I couldn't dodge ult anymore due to timing differences.

It is ok. My normal ping is 60, but I manage to play with 200. Above that it is hard.

Until the server move I was pretty consistently around 120 ping, now I'm pretty consistently 50ish ping. I never felt like I was suffering too much, but I certainly did better since the server move, but that might just be me actually being a better player since then.

Lately I've been playing on EUNE for the lulz, and I can definitely feel the influence of 140 ping. It's playable since it's steady, but it does throw off some more precise moves (and I really dislike jhin ult on 140 ping).

Doublelift is seriously considering stopping playing soloq because he says his 60 ping is completely unplayable on.

Unfortunately what can Riot do? It is literally impossible to get ping as low as playing in Korea just because the size of the country. Even if it was split into 2 servers US East and West it still wouldn't hold a candle to the Korean server just because of proximity. Unless you lucked out and live directly next to where the server is located

I always hover around 58-62 ping. Even when the GF is watching Netflix on the PS4... Works well enough for me, but I'm not Faker sama.

A few tips to lower your ping.

Use ethernet cable over WiFi for more stable connection.
Pay for faster Internet.
Make sure your cable is as short as possible.
Don't run any downloads in the background (You can ignore this step if you have a huge bandwidth)

People love to throw around how much money the government has given to ISPs, ignoring that cable companies like Comcast and Charter have been built out almost entirely without any government help.

For me its over 200ms that is bad.

I used to play at that speed all the time, but after the server update its been better so now 200 is bad XD

I could probably still play at 200 if I even went back to playing like that, but as of right now, the biggest issue for me is unstable connections. Playing at 100ms means nothing if it likes to wiggle from 50ms to 300ms without warning.

I play at 22ms consistent. It used to be 70+ ping before they added the server in Chicago. HUGE difference. I'm going to actually get gold this season now that I started trying lol.

I used to play on over 100, people who complained about anything under 100 seemed like spoiled babies to me. I am so glad I don't live in the sticks anymore.
