Knowing how to lose lane is important

Everyone loses lane. It's ok. Really. But there is just no reason that you should be going 1/12. Ok, I get it, Riven's killed you twice and now she can dive you. You're just gonna have to give up some farm, buddy. Come back in the mid/late game. Losing lane is totally ok. Feeding just isn't. :-/

Unfortunately, 2 kills top is enough for the enemy top and jungler to constantly dive you just because of the sheer numbers advantage.

Had a Garen on my team just constantly getting dived after dying twice early. There was literally nothing he could do, he never left the tower and still died.

The usual gold response -

"They are diving me I can't help it!"

(corpse is outside of turret range)

Right...

Yes, but Riven is a shit example. There's no way to lose lane gracefully against Riven.

I lost lane last game, but the most disappointing thing was that I fed 1-12.

played a game as Draven tonight against a very original enemy bot lane team comp of Kalista Blitzcrank \

Fcking sarcasm btw

these guys went and stood in between me and the minions for nearly all laning phase. if we got near. blitz either ran in for a knock up or hooked for a rotation while kalista did work. I couldnt do anything because throwing an axe meant i either left it or blitz aimed for the landing. My supp couldnt do anything because moving in to harass met the same free grab rotation from blitz.

they hardly even bothered with CS unless we moved out from under tower and our harass was so shit because their rotation was so strong our jungle would only get killed for helping because they weren't taking any damage from us.

it eventually got to the point that when they hit 6. blitz ran under the tower, ran his rotation, hooked someone into kalista, and she ulted him out when he was close to dying.

i then spent the entire game being called a shit draven by my team because Dravens biggest counters were diving a tower for me every time i walked into lane.

you dont get to win lane by playing safe sometimes. You dont get to win under towers. if you're countered enough, you dont get to win until laning phase where you can make it back up and you hope to fcking god you managed to feed as little as possible until then.

in all honesty that duo was so toxic they had about 5 kills between them from myself and my supp i was literally telling my team that they were not to come into my lane for any reason. The jungle walked in and died instantly and never came back. my friend whom i had in chat read my message and didnt believe me. he died instantly and i cursed him out saying "when i say dont come into my lane for any reason at any point period. dont do it. this lane is lost. dont come back. help someone else."

we lost. even after killing the two of them eventually they couldnt be stopped. blitz never left kalista and spoon fed her all game. we couldnt help our jungle, our mid, or ourselves.

so tl;dr

if all you can do is lose, and feed, give up on kills, and if you have to, cs, until roaming phase and good help. pretending that you can atleast try to cs is a sham. its baits you into dying more.

Guys I really appreciate this thread, most of you seem to agree and have really good points. Yes, diving is a thing. But my point is just that feeding is the worst thing you can do. Players really don't understand the negative effect of dying over and over again. It's much better to not CS and just soak experience than to die over and over. This causes you to give the enemy team a lot of gold, you miss out on team fights, CS, and experience. It's such a compounding issue.

I've got a feeling that Olaf is a little overpowered right now. He can slow lock you, and when you have no escapes, that's huge. Second, you can't duel him, because he attacks faster when he get's lower, to the point of TWO ATTACK SPEED at LEVEL 7 with a Vamp Scepter(?). Third, that also means he's really good at diving, because the turret shots will only make him hit you faster. Ragnorak stops your CC's, and he whacks away at you. Fourth, if you're running away, he can throw his Q at you repeatedly. If he hits, he gets 1-2 auto's off before he reaches his axe again, and then he throws it again. If he misses, he just picks it up and THROWS it Again. It's really sad... because landing a single Q let's him stay on top of you...

This is a stupid post. Towers basically don't exist once the enemy has 2 kills on you especially if they're playing any of Riot's most recent favourite children. I'd like to see you play any mage mid give 2 kills to Diana and lets see how safe you are behind your tower.

Im very good at loosing lane in a solo lane, when i support however sometimes depends how good in loosing lane my ADC is, so sometimes Im half as good in bot lane :D

But depending on the champion I really lack risky plays and I rarely engage in a fight that has 50-50 chance of me wining it, jungling in normal's helped me a bit to resolve this issue to an extent, but I'm still rarely the one that gets a quadra... hell even triple almost never happens.

What im trying to say is that this... "good" at loosing lane; it depends a lot on the personal play style, players cant stay in the opposite play style for long in a match. I have friend that is the opposite of me, he knows how to stall the opposite laners success but he cant stand playing like me longer than 7 min (I actually keep tabs when he is loosing lane), But when he is ahead he wins with multy-kills. I also can charge for about 5 minutes until im killed then I get back to may safe play and waiting on the team.

The ones who thrive on assists like me can keep the enemy busy even when they loose, so my friend that thrives on death-matches can have time to make his build and stomp them :D .

for junglers in solo queue, there is a secret to helping those who've lost lane (esp top). and it requires the enemy top laner to have taken the outer turret.
