I was actually thinking about this, at least in a way. What if bard is another proxy champion like Yorick or Azir? Let's say each one of his abilities call back from the depths of history some major figure which he can then spawn and control, perhaps with each one having some abilities of their own or something. As I was discussing this with my friend, Invoker did come to mind, though he's never played DoTA, so I didn't mention it.
And while Meddler may have said never would they have a champion like that, they've begun to expand into more odd/niche champions, so you never know.
But morello said it would never happen. You are now a prophet.
