Anyone else notice

How much more ADC (ranged and ones that teleport/become untouchable (Yi, I see you)) can hurt than APC? And very quickly?

Math aside, I know APC stuff has wonderful, damaging, painful utility items (Zhonya, DFG, others) but by the time a well fed APC grabs half the items they need, an equally fed ADC has had a pregame boost on AD (AD starts at 40-60 damage without runes or masteries, almost always the AP starts at 0(special cases)) and can grab small items that are ridiculous.

Not complaining, I just wonder if I am noticing this wrong? (found this amazing button in the store that refunded a champ I got but didn't use after its first trial and then grabbed the one I wanted who was ADC)

Example- Top 3 items I think each would get (I could be wrong, its not rank)

APitem 3089 item 3128 item 3157 - total price I think is (3300)+(3100)+(3260)= 9660 gold spent

ADitem 3072 item 3153 item 3087 - total price on this I think is (3500)+(3200)+(2500)=9200 gold spent (assuming equally fed either AP would not have finished an item OR AD would have spare 460 gold)

Just, you know, thinking.

ADCs generally deal much better sustained damage than APCs. Aside from the few sustained-damage mages, who usually have the advantage of being able to move more freely than an AD, almost any mage will outdamage an AD within the time frame of their spell rotation. Also, AP scales very differently from AD, so comparing the amounts you get of each and at what price is difficult.

With runes and masteries and a dorans ring, you can hit 50 ability power at level ( off the top of my head.)

Also, have a duel between a 6 item marksman, and a 6 item kat.( or fizz) The assassin wins every time.

Didn't mean to confuse that part, I just meant that most of the time ADC seems to scale quicker. I won't deny that Assassin wins every time (I want to refute that bit, but it won't work much because I have seen or done those Assassin ganks).

AD's definitely have more sustained damage. However, that's at the cost of burst. You've never seen sivir 100-0 someone like veigar can, and there's a reason for that. So, an apc will nearly always win a trade with an adc, because they can walk in, pop all their spells, and walk out while they wait on coolowns, where an adc has to stay in all the time to keep getting their dps.

It's not so much as the items or the damage, but the saftey in applying said damage. APC characters typically have either low mobility or low range, while ADC characters either have range for kiting or some ability that allows them to avoid damage while in melee range. Melee range isn't currently dangerous enough to balance this out, but that could be the fault of the current meta instead of changes that have been made.

Thanks for the clarification all. =)
