My feedback about the Odyssey gamemode

The gamemode is fun, the augments are a neat idea and I liked doing the missions. Nonetheless there are some things that could be better, obviously:

  • The abrupt difficulty spike when facing Kayn compared to the rest of the game-mode.
  • Why do we have a time limit to build a grp for a pve game mode ? Especially considering the missions.
  • There was a lot of confusion about the amount of augements you need for each mission. "Does the passive augment count towards the limit ?
  • Again wording for the mission: "Everyone has to play as either Ziggs or Sona" sounds like you mean either 5x Ziggs or 5x Sona. If you can mix it just write "Ziggs and/or Sona"
  • Especially with 5 man premade grps I had a lot of buggy augments. So often runes werent saved at allor displayed incorrectly so it showed more augs than you actually have.
  • Still missions: The longer this event progresses the less people will want to help you do the basic stuff. Good thing: If you do 3 augs, that's still 4 or less, but you will have to do the 3 augs run again after you already did. How about the missions were giving you everything up to what you actually achieved instead of just one mission? Or you could unlock all the missions to avoid that problem or better mission design to begin with. There are options to fix this.
  • Kayn a a boss is challenging, but it doesnt feel like it's much in your control or skill. I always have the feeling that the game's way of difficulty is just throwing as much stuff at me as possible so that you cannot process what happens anymore. Just like a Michael Bay movie.

I don't know about how everyone else felt, but the first room and Kayn are the only difficult parts. But that first room is just slow and then no items and it just pops off towards the end. The first room needs higher tempo.

I agree with you, but the most frustrating thing that i hate about this game mode are the players. You basically have 1% chance to win solo onslaught game when you get random players in your team because they either afk because someone took more augments than what their mission says, or they are just unskilled and you can't win it.

in my opinion there are several things that needs to be improved/changed in the gamemode:

  1. you should not be punished for dodging the games in lobby since you might not like the team.
  2. Dodging shouldn't cancel champion select you can just replace the player who dodged it with another so they just need to pass the afk test.
  3. there shouldn't be a timer, to avoid afk add a vote system to kick a player.
  4. Since there are missions you should be able to chose the mission that you want to do and play the game with others that want to do the same mission. (if i needed to do 2 augments my teammate that will be with me should need to do the mission as well)
  5. add a button to dodge a game since there is so much salt in the salad.
  6. add more tank items for health regeneration Malphite + item 3083 = Maokai
