Dark Star Orianna

The idea for this skin was inspired by the thought of a black hole sucking in stuff all around it and how much that concept reminded me of Orianna's Ultimate ability. Dark Star Thresh is an amazing skin with it's purple/gold color theme. Dark Star Varus is not really my taste. He is purple/turquoise. Since both existing skins have similar but slightly different color themes, I did the same for Orianna and went for purple/blue.

I did a few alternatives for Ori's ball, to see if something works better than just the black hole. I tried to build some kind of structure around the hole, but that doesnt really come together. Other ideas are to drop the black hole altogether and go for the dark star aspect. That might be in the edgy metal style or the broken planet.

Looks pretty neat,though I doubt we'll ever get it,since the ball would be easily confused with syndras orbs

My only complaint is that her head looks super masculine, like Varus or Thresh, but the rest of her looks great.

This is very very good! I would be excited to see this skin hit the game live. I know a lot of people have been throwing around ideas, but you mentioned that her ball was inspired by the thought of a black hole. So maybe you could have something orbiting and being tossed into the ball, giving it more effects would help it stand out apart from Syndra.

This skin looks pretty amazing. I can see it happening. In the base skin, The Ball has a periscopic eye that it tucks inside itself, so maybe for a Dark Star Orianna, you could make The Ball into some kind of space monster with a single eye mounted on a tentacle. Hell, just make it a giant eyeball monster with tentacles.

Nice! I like what Riot did. It's similar, but different. During concepting phase I actually had the same idea as the "galaxy skirt". To keep the more mechanical aspect of Ori I went with the design you see in post 1.

About the actual DS Orianna skin: I really like it, but the only thing that bothers me is all the shiny gold on her. I know the other DS skins have some gold on them as well, but not in this amount. Also she seems a bit oversaturated.

I did two variations of a quick paintover to see if it works. I desaturated her head and her shoulders a bit. The 1st is good in color and readability, while the second is obviously darker and gets rid of the shinyness.
