nop, he doesn't autoattack so much and has crap attack speed
that's why riot made it on hit effect unlike atma, so not every bruisers build it

If your not using your autos as much as possible on every champ your doing it wrong.

i'm not saying that he won't auto, omfgggggggggg i just said that if you compare sion to volibear the item will be 100% more efficient on volibear he attacks more than sion who has bad attack speed

the active still can create quite some burst. but yea, the on hit buff doesnt help much.
Titanic Hydra and Sterak's are really good on him actually. People haven't caught on yet. The only downside is he's quite squishy early game. But his late game is amazing.
I like to build RoA first, then titanic steraks iceborn visage with what ever boots you like. I also take 15% scaling cd in runes with 5 from masteries so I only need 20 cds to max out which is important. Atleast in top lane this is the type of set up I would use. Roa can be changed late game but the hp mana and ap are good for sustain and power up his shield nicely.

just did this build minus the runes that i should look into i was able to take on 2-3 people at one went 11/6 was able to 1v1 cho'gath and garen the squishi vanished whenn i ultied if i hit them its pretty good im gonna stick with this
ill give it a go
I take the shield first, usually q second unless they have range. At level 5 I like to have w and e rank 2. After that I would level one or the other based on how im doing vs my lane opponent. Winning trades? go e losing them go w. Maxing his q wouldn't be a terrible idea but the base damage is already pretty good when charged, so its still a useful tool for farming your hp.
Yeah maybe one aspect of the item would be better on someone with an attack speed steroid but its the overall stats and the active that are what make it great on sion. The active makes his combo after ulting that much more powerful.
would be absolutely amazing on him if you can afford a damage/waveclear pick, imo, and his base AD is good enough to work well with
, plus
gives his ult more speed, but overall you're going to want to stick to a mostly tanky build. Titanic Hydra could definitely be your go-to-damage pick, but otherwise he's more of a full tank than a juggernaut, and so would likely do better overall with a build fully oriented towards defense.
It would probably be pretty solid. He gets a lot of tank stats off of his W and its passive, the latter of which gives him infinitely scaling health, and has a pretty decent number of damage options. The best options would probably be Titanic Hydra for its synergy with his infinitely scaling health pool and Ravenous Hydra for its high amount of AD to scale his AD ratios and its synergy with his champion passive. After those items it might be good to just go straight tank afterwards.
Bruiser Sion has some interesting characteristics that separate him from other juggernauts are his hard CC and ability to get to the enemy backline. While it is fairly hard for most juggernauts to get into his opponent's faces, Sion has relatively little difficulty (compared to other juggernauts) at getting to his opponent's backline, and because of his hard CC he gets a little bit of the tank/juggernaut flavor that Skarner has. However, he also has the weaknesses of not having the same level of damage as other juggernauts, and wouldn't be as tanky as them until much later on into the game.

iv been using that build listed off here in the post yea he dosent do allot of sustained damage but his burstyness once its late game is pretty good though being as tanky as he is at that point in the game sustaing through health and tankyness makes him a pretty viable option iv been taking on darius and garens with him i havent fought a mord or skarner yet with him but so far iv been doing decent and im gonna keep wht i have going
