@Riot- Can Nami PLEASE Get a New Passive?

I main Nami and I absolutely love her. Everything about her is fine right now I believe but omg her passive is almost useless.

Nami essentially relies on her Q for escapes if anything happens, even for the escapees. If she fails to land her Q she is literally a fish out of water and fails as a support. Yes, her current passive gives a slight movement speed but it doesn't provide anything beneficial to the battle in the long term. There are loads of supports that provide better escapes for their adcs.

Janna- Her passive provides a constant movement speed plus her Q is a lot easier to land than Nami's. Braum- Tanky, easier to land his Q and he has his W and E to rely on. He is fine if left behind, he can slow the enemy down enough for the adc to escape. Leona- So many cc. Tank again. No problem. Thresh- Mostly tanky. Provides an instant escape with his W if his adc gets caught out. Morgana/Lux- Their Qs are 2 seconds of binding plus they both provide shields.

I have an idea to make Nami a bit more.. reliable/threatening when it comes to the battlefield.

Remove her current passive and add stacks to it. Perhaps stacks reliant on her Q. "Every time Nami lands her Q on an enemy champion, she gains stacks of Tidal Charge. At 20 stacks Nami gains additional boosts:

Aqua Prison: Nami sends a bubble towards targeted area, dealing magic damage to enemies upon impact, revealing them and suspending them for 2 seconds. Ebb and Flow: Allied heals and enemy damage increased by 10 (+30% AP) Tidecaller's Blessing: Nami empowers an allied champion for 12 seconds or 6 basic attacks. Tidal Wave: Nami summons a tidal wave that moves in a broad line and deals magic damage to enemies it comes into contact with, briefly knocking them up and then slowing them. The slow duration increases based on how far the tidal wave has traveled, with a minimum duration of 4 seconds and a maximum duration of 8 seconds.

Each successful landing of Aqua Prison gains a total of 5 stacks and all stacks are lost after casting the first ability once 20 stacks have been reached"

Or something along those lines perhaps. Of course, landing a Q on two champions would only count as 1 landing, thus 5 stacks (meaning you'd have to land 4 Qs total to get 20 stacks).

Feel free to shoot this down or whatnot, just thought of a brief idea about a new passive that would make her more threatening (or viable in team fights or escapes).

It synergies with her kit way better than you give it credit. Every ability will speed up allies.

Enemy out of range for Q? Throw it on an ally to speed them up. Enemy on top of an ally/self? Q for a speed buff and stun them.

W can speed up 1-2 allies a cast.

E is instant on top of the AA slow. Great chasing tool.

R can give your whole team the MS buff and slow/knockup the enemy. Great engaging tool.

Sure it's not extremely potent or lasts all that long. But it's hardly weak and fits her very well. IMO she's a very balanced support. She has clear ups and downs. Never really been OP. She's been strong. But never OP.

I main Nami too and I buff allies or myself for speed all the time to great effect...

Also I don't want her getting buffs. Half the reason I get to main her is because not many people use her, so I don't have to worry about getting her picked or banned away. Every time a champion gets buffed it starts seeing more play.

her passive is fine. Q is an AoE stun W is an AoE heal/damage(which applies passive to help escape/catch up) E procs her passive on cast AND has built in slow R is huge area dmg/knockup.

You can add "procs her passive" to Q and R too.

Nami actually has a fairly decent passive. I actually enjoy grabbing a ryalis/liandries on her and just kitting everyone to death with heals that speed me up and slow you down, while slow burning you.

She's fine tbh. Her passive is pretty decent on support. 40 flat MS can be pretty big when fights start to happen, specifically 2v2 duels that happen in bot lane.

Make it easier to dodge skillshot and then you combine that with W heal and damage then E for slow and extra damage.

You main nami and don't appreciate her passive? What is this I don't even. Nami's passive lets you catch people fleeing (W or E your ally, or E yourself if you're the closest person), helps your adc kite better (who else are you casting your E on?), trade better in lane (W gives self-MS buff, so you don't stay in danger for as long), or just get back to lane a bit faster. It's a very useful passive that it seems is underappreciated for how good it is.
