How to carry out of low elo as enange supp

How am i supposed to carry in low elo as engange support?People here wont folow up and i will be going in and i will get killed.So my question is how am i supposed to win games here?

You can ping your target a couple times right before you go in, hopefully that will get your ally's attention.

Also watch to see what your ally is doing before you engage, for example if there are low health enemy minions, your marksman is likely going to want to last hit them, and they might hyperfocus on that and not notice you engage. You have to anticipate your ally's intentions and movements as much as your enemy's. And try to engage when your ally is most able (and available) to help.

Also part of the power of engage supports is the pressure they apply while their engage is available. Simply zoning enemies without wasting the abilities can grant you a huge advantage.

I stopped playing Leona and others for sustain supports. So far I'm slowly climbing. Downside is I suck in every other lane.

That's why last season I stopped playing supports like Alistar or Leo and started playing Taric or Braum. My plan is to always save my team from themselves. Lulu too is pretty good for that but sometimes doing too good of a job makes them overconfident. Why I'm a Taric main.... A good ult will save your team from themselves long enough (usually) to kill the other side or get objective etc
