How to carry as adc?

Hello my name is Aleksa.I have been playing league for over 4 years now and i need help.I actuallly loved playing adc,but now in season 7 i cant solo carry like i used to.I can get fed,take objevtives but in the end their entire team focuses me and i am just dead.So how am i supposed to play adc without dying in teamfights.If i could get teammates that at least peel for a little bit i could carry,but i dont seem too.My name is aleksateeemo on EUW.Edit:I am not complaining about bad teammmates but rather about selfish teammates.

You dont. Im serious. Your performance is the most dependent on everyone else in the game. The more tanks you have on your team, the better your performance will be. The less focus you get from the other team the better your performance will be. If the other team has fed assassins such as Rengar Talon Zed or tanks that target you with cc such as Nautilus Malphite then dont even enter the fight. Literally do not even get in range to attack anything. Watch those guys that are the biggest threat to you and wait for them to waste cds on your teammates. Thats when its safe to engage. Then after that whoevers teams tanks die first will lose the fight. As ADC, its perfectly okay and in most cases the best option to target the enemy tank. If youre in range of the enemy mage, youll get nuked. If youre in range of the enemy ADC, at least one of you is in a bad spot.

the first thing you can do is this:

be late to every team fight.

yes i mean, when the team fight starts, you should be somewhere else.

I don't mean on the other end of the map or anything. but you should not be the one following up on the initial clash.

you arrive late, and clean up.

Also: you're not the one throwing ranged harass at the enemy tank or support. Don't be that guy.

~~Im gonna tldr what the other 2 guys who wrote paragraphs said~~ and boil it down to this: Positioning, as an adc you never want to be too close to the action in a teamfight but you want to be close enough to always have an enemy champ in range.

You said you play varus and ezreal, varus is great for this b/c of his range, ezreal while his range is shorter has his E for escapes/repositioning to keep up consitent dps.

Bonus points if your team has a tank or tanky juggernaut (darius, one off full tank Warwick) who you can dance around during teamfights.

But yeah it all boils down to positioning, put yourself in a place where you can keep dealing damage but its harder for the enemy team to focus you without getting heavily punished by the rest of your team.

Positioning. I don't mean "position behind tanks" cause half the time that does jack shit.

Positioning is COMPLETELY dependent on your team and enemy team. Is your support Janna? You can be a little closer to the action as long as you stick to her. Do they have a Zac? Stay far from places you don't have vision.

Do they have an alistar? Don't even think about getting in range of him until he uses his Q/W.

Remember, all it takes is one lock down and an enemy team with half a brain will blow you up without even using major cool downs.

One last tip: if you KNOW you're gonna die (enemies from both sides, no flash). Instead of trying to run just turn on the enemy closest to you. You might be able to burn a flash or at least force a recall even if you die. Also save summoners if possible (just save it for more important fights, like you might die at 19:30, but it's WAYY more important to have your flash for a baron fight).

Give a lot of respect to your opponents and you won't die. However, it's STILL REALLY HARD to carry as ADC in this meta.

I mostly play varus and ezreal and i try to attack enemys mid/adc,but when u got no peel u cant do much.

It can be not so useful tip but on internet I read that adc shouldn't focus carries in TF. Adc should keep as long as they can distance form TF and focus the closest enemy. Attacking enemy carries behind enemy team can end with death if enemy team can play. When you play ez, you can use E for positioning. If teamfight is moving toward you, run without attacking until it will be in one place, eventually use e and use skills. Remember to stay with your team. If you don't stay with them, then you are going to be insta - killed if there are enemies. And don't 1 vs 1. In late game be the most careful, don't take risky actions, it can cost whole game. If you are n lane and fight 2 vs 2 then you can focus adc, but in teamfight you shouldn't.

Playing ADC is firstly about staying alive. Your job isn't to kill the carries, just aim for whoever is closest. Many people in low Elo would say that you shouldn't focus the tank, but do that unless there is someone else closer. For example, Galio is at the front, you should still be able to shred him as long as you stay behind your team with BoRK and LW. This way you can stay alive to move on to the next enemy. If, however, their Twitch decides to run to the frontline, he is your new focus. If you are having problems with getting no peel, try to pick someone with a dash or some other escape. Ezreal is an example with his free flash.

TL;DR: Stay alive = win. Focus frontline.

But here,fed darius,riven,fiora,etc cant just walk up to me.I buy 3 AD items,2 defensive and last whisper if they have tank enemys,still does not help vs somebody that can one shot you like that.I am plat IV maining adc,but its so damn hard.Was plat 3 80 lp when playing mid but i find mid boring.

All the way down here in low Silver tanks are a massive problem. When I played ADC I'd rely on the frontline to stand in the way and when a tank tried to get closer I'd kite them and move away. I played a lot of Ashe so the slow really helped. Then again, if there's a Fiora that the geniuses in top lane decided to feed, gl hf <: Here's a really satisfying compilation I found on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pBL4x9jthQ Maybe invest in the new GA so that even if you die, your team will (hopefully) collapse on your killer and kill them. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs] Edit: You often have to rely on your support for the peel because they tend to know that the ADC needs peel, someone like Lulu, Janna, or Leona with good CC should be able to solve your problems, but that relies on matchmaking unless you Duo.

Try to learn Vayne and engage 2 seconds after fight begins it’s not so ez as sounds but I am one trick Vayne so for me it works

i dont find Rengar as a threat to me,he is visible if he gets close to my teammates i can just poke him from range.As for the rest i dont know what to do.My teammates usually say:You are adc,you are useless.So they take my farm,supp takes all the kills(intentioaly) and in tf they dont want to help me. summoner 4 is my only hope

Don't try to make plays... seriously, sit back and farm, wait for your team to engage and follow up correctly, the times I've carried as an ADC has been probably the most boring matches I've ever had, I guess that's why I'm silver but I like the thrill of being made out of glass and still be somewhat on the danger zone...

But yeah don't make plays, simply follow along and do as much damage as possible

I never leave my team to make godly solo plays.Whats the point of dealing dmg if your team wont do anything?
