JUST WARD.
One of the most painful things I've experienced leveling up this account is the amount of people who refuse to press 4 and lay a ward in a bush or even keep vision on dragon. I have to say, this is one of the main things that drove me to be a support main- is because if I don't ward, no one else will.
Wards, honestly, keep you from surprise deaths, and let you get gold and kills from people roaming solo in YOUR jungle. For instance, I placed a ward the game before last at the enemies blue buff. Our mid saw their enemy laner at blue and got 2 kills from that, and they said, "who ever warded their blue, thank you" I said, "it was me. I'm a stickler about warding, comes from being a support main" and it's true. There is never a reason nor an excuse to not ward. An upgraded trinket costs 250 gold and is like a regen sightstone. There is no reason the map shouldn't be lit up.
More painfully, I've actually told people to help me ward, even when I'm support, and they tell me, "that's your job. You're the support" Like this is probably the most wood v response anyone could say. Despite what you think, warding is indeed a team effort (everyone can only have 3 at one time, and 1 pink to 1 person). Riot gave you a free trinket for a reason. laying 8 wards down in a 30 minute game is just inexcusable.
