Actually enjoying the new changes to League, anyone else?

From a lore perspective, I've always considered the champions in League to be beasts who just have insane fighting skills etc. In Season 7, it felt like the champions were very... non-powerful? Lots of slow teamfights, you needed drag/baron to finish out games etc. Since the recent changes though, it feels (not sure if it actually is) that fights are quick and you can delete people, but not to an extent where it's unfair (2014 - Kha/Trist/Katarina combo). For once it feels like the champions and not the map (drag/baron/etc.) dictate the match. Bot lane does seem kind of awkward now with jungle/top/mid doing quite a bit of damage, but overall I appreciate the new changes. League is a fighting game so let us fight!!! I feel like Riot has finally given us this all out brawl feel. For once, GJ Rito. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

For the most part, yes. Damage is high but it's better than last season. Now we just need towers that aren't made of cardboard.

Same! I especially appreciate the "Legend" runes from the Precision tree. They're basically "you rock" bonuses for doing what you're supposed to and I love it.

I take the AS version on Renekton alongside Arcane Comet and Sorcery runes that focus on a good early game; it helps justify loads of AD items on him and helps him snowball especially hard into the midgame. I also use the tenacity version on jungle Tryndamere alongside scaling resistance and health runes from the Resolve tree and out of nowhere 10+ minutes into the game I'm both a bruiser and a carry! I never felt like people could specialize builds with the old runes and masteries like one can with these runes and I'm really happy about these changes.

I find it to be a massive step backwards.

Last season there was talk about reducing the amount of free dmg abilities and hidden power mysteries like "Thunderlords" basically being abused everywhere on any champion that guarantees 3 consecutive dmging abilities or ticks (w/e) effectively adding bonus dmg to those champions and abilities for free for no reason. They were going to change them and either remove them all slowly over time or flat out just remove them.

Instead we removed Thungerlords, got it reinstated as Lightning Bolt (Clever) added Aery, Meterorite and other things like Active boots that add bonus dmg, for no reason. A massive 180 was performed and we are left with a massive mess of a game that literally just feels like a button mash, skilless, slobbery now.

And with the new leveling system and players no longer gaining BE upon finishing games, the game is no longer rewarding players with intuitive and active re-invigoration upon playing match after match. There is no rewards anymore. Riot in the last year has gone from a FTP game and effectively ensured that if we don't pay up, we have a large, boring grind ahead of us where we won't enjoy playing, we won't get anything new and most importantly, our eyes will wander elsewhere.
