why removing baron would massively increase the fun/entertainment of the game (and pro play)
im a game design genius. riot, please contact me (serious) . post in this thread if you want my contact info, then i will post my email if you do . i will work for you for free (dont have to even fly me to your HQ). all of my ideas can easily just be written down, i can simply email to your balance team leaders my ideas whenever i come up with amazing ideas (which i do like once every 2months or so) . however my ideas are so good you would probably want to pay me a little (whats a few thousand for a idea that would make you a million dollars?) however im not doing this for money, im simply doing this because i play league 8 hours a day and by making league more fun i am improving my own pleasure. so it is in my direct interests to make league better, even if i am not getting paid for my ideas. also i dont care about money because my family is rich and well-off. now, moving on
for my game ideas--
i dont mean remove the baron entirely. but having it be so strong right now i feel makes the game more boring since it forces everyone to focus on one part of the map every game
my idea would be. make baron easily solo-able (make it no longer reduce damage from 1 person) . keep barons health / tankyness at the current level, but reduce barons damage by like half or so
as for the baron buff. turn it into a very weak version of season 1. id say turn it into +5% damage dealt plus 1% of max hp/mana regenerated per second that works in-combat.
after 5+ years of endless baron dancing in pro-play . ive had enough. the baron dance has become one of the most boring sleep inducing parts of pro play
i just dont care about the baron anymore. i dont care about which team has a bit of a lead and is putting their wards there and has such good "baron control"
what i want to see is high octane, high intensity, mental chess gameplay around the entire map, involving things like lane pressure / map control / battle intelligence / mechanical skill and "people getting shit on". the baron just doesnt do any of that for me... this baron dancing boringness is just such bad design from a entertainment perspective.
my ideas would also make the game way more fun for casuals / ranked games too, imo
removing baron would open up the entire map to being the battleground, instead of just the baron area
we dont need the baron to finish games. its more entertaining to view teams doing it with their own power and mechanical skill anyway. "baron power plays" are boring (but you could keep that "power play" thing in the game sure. dont have to remove it)
also i would say change elder too. heres my fun idea for that. turn elder into a 3.5 minute buff where every time you touch a enemy champion (auto or spell), it burns 1% of their max health per second forever, true damage, until they touch a fountain. this damage stops recall and out of combat healing (ocean/warmogs). also, when someone burning from elder touches a fountain, they will instantly be full healed (hp/mana) and given homeguards instantly instead of waiting for combat to drop. this would be a fun buff where people have to calculate, while defending, when they need to start running back to the fountain to deal with the dragon burn
elder buff would no longer amplify your past dragons
also. elder would be changed to become easily solo-able too. make elder as strong as my new baron (equal tankyness and damage) . also give baron/elder equal respawn timer (dunno if they do already?) since their buffs are equal and they are pretty much equals now.
also i find one of the most annoying things is, in some matchups, if the enemy jungler slightly outjunglers yours and gets a early ocean, it can completely destroy your lane and make you powerless to do anything against your enemy and it just lets your enemy stomp all over you for free with free regen for the rest of the game, and just makes it GG-open at 7 minutes
my idea to early oceans is. make the first dragon a "gold dragon" that is as hard to kill as the others, and just gives a 200 gold reward to the team (1000 total). after the gold dragon is killed, random elements come next
next. ive realized blast cones are a bit dumb, for this reason. but i have a solution for it. i feel blast cones ruin split-map play, making splitpushing stagnant and boring, due to all the free escapes ruining potential kills/action. however i thought of the perfect solution to blast cones
increase blast cones respawn time to 10 minutes (per cone). this would let them still exist, however a support could easily go on a mission to pre-clear a part of the map of its cones (where he expects future action to happen) and this would remove all cones from that area for 10 minutes. basically this change would let smart people clear the cones in advance
these are my best ideas for now. i have a few more but i will post those only if people (and riot) actually seems to like my ideas
