@Riot. Are you phasing blind out of the game?
Only
and
still has it. Just curious.

I think, like with silences, blinds are super irritating to play against, especially for low level players who don't understand what's happening. It's made worse by the fact that blinds can be super inconsistent because if they attacked before they were blinded, then it still deals damage, and then they can just use an ability to burn off the rest of the blind time.
I think blinds are worse because they are a lot less obvious. Your attacks just miss, when your silenced there's a lot more visceral feedback. Also it has weird interaction with some on-hit effects.
Clarity is a problem yeah. The one I've noticed most is that many abilities that block auto attacks block gangplanks Q, but you would never know blinds don't block it before it hits you and kills you.
Agreed about clarity. When blinded, I wish the border of the screen would darken a bit, or maybe the screen would get a washed out, less colourful appearance.
I think they're the only two who have ever had it. It's never been a common form of CC, since it effectively removes the damage source of basically half the champ pool. It's an AD silence - which kind of ties into how they're nerfing the crap out of or completely removing a large number of silences.
Heimer used to blind if he didn't sweetspot his grenade (and thus stun). Corki's Q used to blind, before Riot started slowly removing everything interesting about the skill.
Ah, I do remember the Heimer grenade now. Still don't remember Corki q, but that may have been changed before I really played against him much. Still a pretty Rare cc.
Only those two EVER had it. It was never really a big thing to begin with.
Heimerdinger's grenade did as well if it was outside the stun radius before his rework. I'm pretty sure that's the only other one in League history, though.
I don't think Rito would ever create another champ with a blind CC. It's too toxic
(teehee), and anybody with a blind, especially as an assassin or support, is most likely to be picked at top lane (
stahp it, go mid -_-)
Ugh I hate when I pick nid top and in comes teemo, suddenly all my damage has been changed to 0 damage.
