As A Jungle Main I Really Dislike Not Being Able To See My Smite Damage On The Smite Icon Anymore

As A jungle your should know smites damage from experience or common sense, but when I'm in the moment (Invading,Dragon Fights, Etc) I hate glancing down to look and then realizing o hey its not there anymore. Put the charge number else where don't add something new and move around the old stuff every one is used to.

It's funny because if they swapped them (moved charge to the middle buff bar), the charge timer could literally have an actual number, in seconds, just like the active item timers.

But no, this is Riot Games.

EDIT: this would actually be REALLY fricken useful, because if I had one charge, I would know EXACTLY how long until my next smite, before even using it. I would be able to say "I can smite this champion and have my smite back in exactly 20 seconds, which is when dragon coincidentally spawns."

I'm also a main Jungle, just memorize the damage per level. Before you didn't have a damage indicator; you had to hover over the smite to actually check the damage. I'm just glad there is a damage indicator somewhere now as it helps new players and sometimes me when I feel lazy to keep track of everything (similar to the camps re spawn times)

But I guess you could swap the damage indicator with the charges so the charge would be on the tool tip, I wouldn't see much difference thou.

Is the complaint just about it not being on the icon itself? Cause the smite icon in your buffs in the center of the screen tells you how much damage it will do. That's not geographically that far away from where the smite icon is located and you don't have to hover over it with your mouse to see the tooltip either.

It's now on the tooltips. I didn't notice it at first; a friend had to point it out to me, lol.

A true jungle main should always check the damage on the tooltip and not rely on riot dumbing up the game.

It shows up as a buff, now. Check the bottom left of the screen, iirc

In all fairness, if and when you are challenging an objective such as Dragon, you should always double check to see how much True Damage you are going to deal with your Smite.

I'm not disagreeing, nor being the devil's advocate. Neutral perspective.

I would agree with this but smite shows up as a passive now i believe when its about 15 seconds away from cd. The passive (over your skills) will tell you how much dmg it does. [I may be wrong but i believe im correct]

As A Boards Reader, I Hate Such Thread Names

My advice?

Get over it... The information is available just as clearly on the buff bar. At least, I've never had to look around for it while I'm wondering where my smite damage is...

This and I also noticed that the damage icon would occasionally move over to my champ icon making it extremely annoying.

Please for the love of god put the smite damage back on the icon and move the charge up top.

Maybe put the number of charges with the less important buffs?

DarkenedSoul4201/16/2015, 11:08:15 PM1 votes

Yeah its so hard to use my eyes to look at the number before the dragon is about to die..rito pls

Homebrew1/17/2015, 3:39:34 AM1 votes

I agree, I want to see the damage back on the icon.

Beerstein1/16/2015, 6:46:50 AM1 votes

Get real, use the icon. What's next, no timers on top of each jungle mobs spawn point? No auto jungle clear button while you take a leak?

I prefer the smite damagen than the CD. With 2 smite , 75 CD smite is almost always up.

Call it a crutch, but hey, I really liked it too.

MasterSeth20251/16/2015, 5:09:54 AM1 votes

I noticed this too :/ I probably should have checked the tool tip before trying to flash steal the dragon....
