Do not disable a champion for Vanity.

I'd like to start by saying I love the Bilgewater lore event, and am pleased and excited to see a focused initiative on the Lore and stories of these characters we have grown to love and hate in the League of Legends. But I don't like Gangplank being disabled as a side effect. I look forward to a lore event focusing on Demacia and Noxus in the future, but I would hate it if it were to mean Garen would be disabled for 3 days! He's my favorite champion, I have all of his skins, and he's what I like to play most. I personally would feel cheated if Garen were disabled for any reason other than a game-breaking bug. I don't want to be denied my favorite champion just because he goes missing in action in a lore battle that is completely optional for any of the hundreds of thousands of league players to even know about. To be clear, I'm not against outside lore influencing the game, like the Gangplank announcer voice, or the pirate themed music on Summoners Rift; I just think disabling a champion is NOT a good way to do that. I would propose instead themed skins like the Garen and Quinn ones for Bilgewater but with re-recorded voice dialogue to reflect their status as bloodthirsty turncoats, or cosmetic buffs like "This unit is a flippin' Queen!" For the Captain Fortune skin. Am I the only one who feels this way? I'd like to rally voices to the cause; disabling Gangplank was an experiment and I'd like to make sure it is deemed a failure.

TL;DR - I would feel cheated if my favorite champion was disabled for Lore's sake. Am I the only one? Let Riot know robbing the player of our ability to select a champion they played for is not okay.
