Poppy Called a Tank, Builds tanky, IS tanky.. but does damage, a good amount of damage to be considered a Vanguard ("Offensive tank) atleast, not a Warden ("Defensive Tank"), If not Juggernaut.

Vayne called a marksman, Builds marksman, is an Assassin, 3 shots squishies after 25 minutes, basically promised AS you pick Vayne , and does the same to tanks(except it take 6 shots)

  • Vayne is secondarily an assassin to begin with.

  • Poppy is a Warden. However, Riot wanted to do right by her original playerbase. They made it so her early game was similar to her diving play style, and then later in the game she'd fall off and focus on protecting her team from mobile divers, assassins, and skirmishers. Technically, if you wanted to be accurate about Poppy, she's like a Diver for the early game and a Warden for the rest of the game.

Vayne is a secondary assassin, yes, and who are assassins weak against, classes/subclasses that it can't quickly kill, there aren't classes she can't quickly kill, so not following what you are saying.

? That's like saying Sejuani is a diver because her Q is a dash forward (or maybe not, shes getting roster worked) its about how you use the kit, not the kit itself, without subclasses, poppy is a tank, that has spammable maximum health damage, if you use her strictly as a Warden you aren't using Poppy to her potential that means she ISN'T a Warden innately.

On the point about Sejuani: Riot specifically said they designed Poppy with this play style transition in mind.

" When it’s time to transition to more teamplay, Poppy joins the frontlines as a strong tank. With the passive stats from Steadfast Presence, she’s surprisingly durable while still capable of outputting damage in the right situation. In early mid-game teamfights, Steadfast Presence’s active effect will keep the backline from using dashes to flee as her team collapses on them. A well-timed Keeper’s Verdict can turn a 5v5 scrum into a 5v4 slaughter, but she’ll have to pay attention to enemy crowd control. Because Keeper’s Verdict is channeled, it can be interrupted by opposing champions.

**As enemies acquire more armor and health, Poppy smoothly swaps roles to take on the responsibility of keeping her friends alive. **Steadfast Presence stops enemy assassins from diving (as long as they don’t use blinks--but blowing their Flash might still be worth, depends on /all chat) while the threat of Keeper’s Verdict will have even frontline tanks concerned they might be taking a trip back towards their fountain, far away from the fight. "

Not seeing your point, its doesn't have anything to do with my point about being able to kill effectively and still being a tank, which she does, she doesn't transition at all, she is still able to do what she does early.

I am seated, you have no point worth standing for..

The point: For Poppy specifically this is intentional. For other tanks, it isn't.

I'm confused why you think poppy shouldn't be classified as a warden. She doesn't actually do that much damage. Her ult knocks people up/away, her W stops dashes, and her E pushes people away/stuns them. Sounds like a pretty good way to "persistently lock down any oncomers who try to pass" and "keep their allies out of harm's way."
