Erase the ban system

Whenever i see a thread about a champion being too strong there is a counter-argument right there, that it can be countered by {insert counter champion}.

I figured, that it must be true, and based on this logic we don't need the ban system anymore. All champion can be countered so just learn to counter, git gud, and pray, that you pick later, than the enemy on your lane.

And even if you pick sooner just learn to outplay your counters. If your skill is much greater than your opponent's, then you can win even against counter. Who cares, that ranked is supposed to place players with similar skill against each other anyway?

So i ask everyone who believes in this not to abuse the ban system, and simply ban nothing. After all they are the PRO guys, and can outplay anything. I also ask Riot to remove the ban system entirely. Statistics were ignored so far, and the pro guys know it better anyway. Let that 0,00001% of the playerbase on LCS design the future of the game.

You do realise that bans were originally implemented to ban counters, right? ^^

But who needs to ban the counter, if you can just counter the counter? Whenever i see a thread, that Pyke, or Yasuo, or Yuumi too strong, or too cancer champ. The next post is, that it can be countered by {insert counter champion here}. So since everything can be countered, then no need to ban the counter. If they pick your counter, then you just pick your counter's counter. And even if you ban your counter, and pick sooner, then enemy still can counter you with another counter since 100% of the champions has more, than one.

Problem is, not everyone is first pick, Sherlock. Especially in Toplane, where you get fucked the most and counterpick meta is the most present, one of the players is gonna have no fun in lane just because you lucked out.

to be fair you can often, in some cases, learn to fight your counter

as an example

I used to always ban Vayne when I played Leona

but over time I stopped doing that and if they picked Vayne I would pick Leona so I could learn

now about 75% of the time I fight a Vayne as Leona...I can win the fight. I've tweaked my build to better deal with her kit

instead kai'sa now gets my Leona ban

It can work in some cases, but not always. Leona can't really 1v1, and i fail to see why Vayne would be such a hard counter in the first place. At least not in early game. Later she is a tank destroyer, but that's outside lane phase. The only thing i can imagine in adjusting the build to be stronger against her is building damage, and in current meta that's the way in rare cases when enemy got too many "tank destroyers".

Had a game with enemy Yi, Vayne, and Camille. Told the team to forget defense since they got 3 tank killers. So both Cho, Jarvan, and Garen built pure damage. It worked perfectly.

Sadly there is truth in it.

Whenever i see a forum about anything being too strong. People go for it's defense stating, that it can be countered. But since everything has more than 1 then what's the point of banning?

I ban stuff that tilts me. Like Riven for now two years straight, or Gangplank because seeing a terrible GP just tilts me somehow.
