Sion in the Bot Lane

I feel like Sion as a support is too overbearing with his constant E+Comet poke. What do y'all think? Is it just my underdeveloped Gold brain or is this a feeling that resonates with even high elo players? I remember a while back, Sona was nerfed for being too overbearing in the laning phase. If Sion is too oppressive, do you think he will get the same treatment as Sona did?
