I think Near-Sight would be infinitely more useful than an Auto-Attack block on Teemo's Q

Not like his Q even counters anything anymore considering all the Tenacity and pure consistent BPS that has been shoved into the game, and at least this way you can screw up a carry by making sure they have 0 vision for a moment, not to mention it opens up screwing over abilities too by making enemies have no idea where their targets are.

His Q really is just used as another nuke spell for damage, the blind is just a joke that really doesn't do anything but give you a pitiful 1 second delay of the inevitable at the most unless you're playing against sponges that refused to get so much as some item 3111

Hell of a lot less broken in certain matchups also.

There's also the point that Teemo's Blind is literally the only actual Blind that affects champions in the game. Quinn used to Blind enemies, but now applies Nearsight instead; I believe that Graves' smoke grenade always applied Nearsight though. Are they keeping it intentionally, or have they not wanted to take a look at Teemo for other reasons?

There's comparatively very few instances of crowd control in League anymore that's not a Slow, Stun, Knockup, nor Displacement. Despite there being quite a lot of opportunity for alternative forms of CC. (Blind, Disarm, Fear, Grounded, Silence, Root. Suppression is rare and should be, though.)

It makes me wonder why they prefer those first forms of CC, since those (aside from Slows) inherently take away more countermeasures from the affected player... A total loss of control vs partial loss of control: you can still AA while Rooted/Silenced, you can still cast (non movement) abilities while Rooted/Disarmed.

People keep suggesting this, but I don't think they realize how infuriating Nearsighted can be. Like, imagining being forced to stand in Graves' W for its entire duration. If you're ranged, you can't attack anything because you can't click on it. If you're melee, you'd get kited by his W and probably eat a shroom or two on the way. All your abilities would miss because you're firing them off in random directions hoping to hit the Teemo who walks in and out of your meager vision range to confuse you. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like Nearsighted is a debuff that we shouldn't spread around too much.

You could also go stealth while they cant see you.

Nearsighted is the most aids effect in the game though so maybe not.

Only if when you are affected by it all you hear is his laugh.
