Compensation for Nautilus?

So apparently Nautilus is getting some pretty substantial nerfs because he's getting abused in top lane.

As a player who frequents Naut jungle this pisses me off but I understand the frustration someone could have when facing him top.

In my opinion, it's a reflection of the current metagame, not that Nautilus' numbers are inherently OP.

But of course wishing that a more reasonable, slower approach is taken is nothing more than wishful thinking when people want change NOW.

Can Nautilus at least get some recompense for the nerfs on his E? I'm thinking a higher slow % and maybe it can even knock up minions and monsters.

I dig non-champion knockup, helps clears, isn't 2stronk and looks cool. This needs more upvotes.

How to buff jungle naught

His passive resets on jungle monsters 50% faster

I think buffing his jungle clear would be great though. Some people are against it because they think it "forces" a champion to be played in a certain role. but when champs get nerfed and they can jungle too, Riot tends to make their jungle clear better like with Rumble for example.

Give it increased damage vs monsters, simple.

Lol it's a love tap to his E, not substantial, just enough to scare the crowd off of him.

I don't get how, Jungle Naut players max W for clears.

You very clearly have not witnessed Nautilus with Grasp of the Undying murdering entire teams, and out damaging fighters. Or that he has the highest winrate in the game for top lane. It's well beyond meta.

But of course wishing that a more reasonable, slower approach is taken is nothing more than wishful thinking when people want change NOW.

Good good, really winning the crowd now.

Really, that's the extent to your imagination? He doesn't need a compensation, his Jungle is unaffected (thank god) while his 2 other roles took a smack, that made him sit back down more so then kick him to the floor.

Higher slow does nothing for him.

And how is knocking up minions/monsters every 4 seconds not overpowered to you?

Disclaimer: I am a super Jungle Naut main, initially worried about his top lane popularity and the nerfs to come, the nerfs coming are very very minor and don't even touch his jungle because you do not max his E first anyway.

Nautilus' numbers haven't been touched since 5.22 and in fact some defensive items have been nerfed ; he's definitely doing good because he fits well in the current meta.

Nautilus is just a ball of stats... No compensations, please.

I would actually be kinda surprised if he needed it, and i main naut jg/sup. Low levels its barely any damage lost, by the time you start feeling the nerf jungle mobs arent popping your shield anyway and you're not really relying on E damage in botlane as much.

Nautulis is fine without compensation. He is more of a damage dealer then leona, but brings just as hard if not more cc then her. His nerfs are needed.

WadeWilson13373/4/2016, 1:55:46 AM2 votes

Nautilus does not need more cc, even on jungle camps lol. Give his E bonus damage to monsters. Jungle Nautilus becomes Viable, Top lane Nautilus disappears, and bot lane Nautilus is just an unfortunate casualty.

You guys want Veigar level of compensation :D?

TheImpLord3/4/2016, 2:49:13 PM2 votes

Um when someone's nerfed for being to strong I don't think they should get compensation for it cause that's kinda against the point of nerfing them

If this was a redistribution of power that be a different story but this is some straight up nerfing.

Ultîma3/5/2016, 1:39:47 AM1 votes

Nautilus should not deal a ton of damage while having the highest amount of CC in the game - those two things should very much be independent from each other. I agree with the nerfs, but mind you his damage is being brought to par with that of Sejuani, who is getting buffed next patch as well. If anything, they're homogenizing the class of champions, but Nautilus will still have some of the more efficient and accessible CC in the game. I think we might need to wait a patch to determine whether or not he actually needs compensation since his kit is already very reliable.
