Picking up Jungle, Questions on Flare and Warwick and things

I've been getting into jungling pretty heavily lately and I've been spamming warwick because I find him incredibly fun (and powerful).

Lately when I go Feral Flare (often with WW) my team has issues with it. I explain to them 1.) WW Ganks are bad before 6 and 2.) I'm getting flare so they should play passive / safe / disengage mode for the early game so I can come out of the Jungle as a beast. This sounds selfish when I type it here...

I secure the first Dragon solo at level 6 when I have a wriggles. 100% of the time it is uncontested because it's around the 8-10 minute mark and nobody seems to be paying attention. I usually get the second dragon pretty easily too - so I'm helping the team.

My issue is sometimes my lanes lose and get outright toxic, blaming guess who: ME. I had an Oriana today leave her lane and just take my jungle camps saying "Now you have to gank lanes because I took your stacks".

Seriously?

I don't know how to combat it. If lanes are losing I can usually bring them back up to even with a good post - 6 gank, but it's never enough to keep them happy / quell their toxicity from the early game.

I've played a few games today (home sick from work) and it's occurred in about 60% of the games when someone just doesn't understand flare stacking. They don't notice on post game screen how I have the most gold farmed, or how I can 100-->0 the enemy carries.

Seems like if people aren't the ones carrying, they don't even want to win.

Advice?

This is the source of most of that frustration. Put yourself in their shoes. Not only is it incredibly frustrating to die to an enemy gank (naturally), but on top of that your jungler has basically said to you "sorry bout that, but this is how I play the game so tough luck".

On top of that, they have no guarantee that you're good. Until you actually gank a lane or help get a kill, what assurance do they have that you're not just gonna farm the jungle until lvl 11? Or level 16?.

Now with all of that said, that's not your fault, it's that the item itself (feral flare) encourages a solo playstyle in a multiplayer game. It's really unfortunate that it leads to situations like yours, because I've been there on both sides. I love using FF junglers, its a fun item to stack and makes you powerful. I've also been in games where enemy jungler is 7-0 at 22 mins, and our udyr still hasn't left the jungle and actually says to us as the enemy team is taking inhibitors "told you guys to play passive, just d" as he gets his 42nd stack as the nexus falls.

As a guy who is approaching diamond(in my promos to get there now). If you are going to farm feral flare stacks you NEED to buy 1-2 greens EVERY single time you back(and switch over to red trinket and clear the typical ward spots for the other team) and plant them in the river or your opponent's jungle.

Your allies will not complain if they can easily dodge the early ganks in the first 15 minutes while you get feral flare because you dropped a ward at the opponents wraith camp and in the river outside their blue buff. It gives you time to get to where Warwick can carry and keeps your lanes from falling behind.

You also need to make sure you have a pink down somewhere on the map at all times but I normally put mine a bit more defensive and somewhere it can protect one of the pathways into my mid laner.

Also, try to gank every time your ult is coming off cool down and work on timing your clearing camps to end up where you want to gank. This requires a lot of watching which way lanes are pushing to plan your jungle route. Assists/kills give a stack and make teammates happy.

When I play Xin. I almost never actually reach the 30 stacks to get feral flare because my job is to apply pressure on lanes on Xin (rushing mobi boots with the green +20 MS enchantment help a lot here if you get an early kill or 3). Since he can only go in, he needs to be ahead, but when ahead, he is one of the best at finishing out games and killing towers(since Q and W both improve tower killing speed).

I strongly dislike Feral.

I'm a plat with a 73% win rate as Warwick. When people question my play, I don't give them a single piece of mind. Gank when you see a good opportunity, but otherwise just keep farming that feral flare. Warwick is an endgame champ. If they want to win, they'll let you do what you gotta do and hold lane like a man instead of complaining. Either way, if you play it right, you'll be able to carry teams if you just do what Warwick does best.

If a lane is really struggling, put down a ward for them or something. Ganking a losing lane as Warwick is NOT worth most of the time.

People who complain about WW or other Level 6 gank junglers (WW, Skarner, Wukong, fiddle, etc) don't understand jungling. It's not worth bothering to explain the concept. Also what Chicken said "You can't win their lane for them." What I don't like about the Udyr "see you in 20 minutes" junglers is that they ignore the lanes to farm. Meaning they ignore turrets, they don't help out with lanes being ganked, they don't help out in group fights, nothing. I feel like the jungler needs to make their presence felt, and that method relies on your lanes not losing, which is not a good assumption to make. As WW you need to gank pretty much every time your ultimate is up. Outside of that? farm. It's also why I don't like WW as a jungler. Not enough tools. Also, any AD based champ who gets QSS means that WW ult is useless.

One thing you should do:

Practice counterganking. Warwick (and many others) are bad at ganking before level 6, but anyone can countergank. Try to keep track (or at least a good guess) of where the enemy jungler's going to show up, and just be around to save your lane when it gets ganked.

Counterganking makes sure you have a presence in the early game even if you are just farming to 6, and it helps keep laners off your back if they see you outside of your jungle.

the biggest role of a jungler should be to apply pressure to the lane frankly speaking you are the type of jungler i want on my oponents lane i can safely gank my lanes get them rolling and kill you cuz im ahead in lvl and items (champions give big chunk of gold and xp)

what you are doing is what WW was build for really that was the whole purpose of playing WW in the first place waaaaaay back. sry dude but not many people can live with that they want ganks they want to know that they can expect you to keep an eye on their lane and possibly clean up even if you are not lvl 6 yet.

Well having no presence in the game does nothing for your team. If all you do is farm or won't even go for counterganks...then you just failed your team. It's not simply a matter of playing "defensive"...some lanes require jungler intervention; in some matchups, if one champ gets jungler intervention and the opposing laner doesn't, that laner could be set behind. By then you're 6 and so what? As said you won't help losing lanes.

I personally don't like WW, the ones I get on my team...no presence in the game at all...I'd prefer if my WW gets drag but....Whatever the case, if enemy jungler is smart and can make plays to get his lanes ahead...they'll just end the game before WW becomes a threat.

It's not the jungler's job to win everyone's lanes for them. You're there to help secure objectives and assist your team. Yesterday I was jungling as Hecarim and my bot lane kept pushing right up into the enemy turret. We had a Kat mid who actually knew how to help me when I went in for a gank and I got her to snowball for late game. Bot lane lost pretty bad and of course they blamed me, but if I had just sat in the river waiting for their jungler to come, I would've lost out on xp, kills, and assists.
