This is really well thought out. Perhaps we were a bit too hasty in rejecting it?…
Edit: Thoughts on this? After re-reading it, it makes so much sense. Your early game still deals a lot of damage and has a lot of CC, but isn't overbearing. You can't just Q->R->Q someone for a million damage without hitting multiple enemies, so it would actually take some skill to use his ultimate correctly. WIth the extra attack speed late game, you can still be a menace in duels if you play well, and even make full use of your passive. Ward hopping is a much weaker strategy due to high energy cost, but is still intact. His E no longer deals magic damage, making it easier to build against him.
