Why is this not a thing?

Are you just unlucky if you have an afk in your ranked game? Sick of losing lp because someone feeds then decides to leave the game. Some way that the winning team doesn't get rewarded as much and the losing team doesn't get punished? This is so frustrating to deal with Riot please help.
