So whenever you enter a promo series they give you this message saying you are guaranteed one of your selected roles in your pro series but...if I choose a top lane and jungle every time am I not already guaranteed one of those slots? What is the point of this message? I always play ranked alone if that makes a difference.

Snowball4u1 votesFor diamond+ there exists autofill... a cancerous horror that is supposed to help the already not-too-bad queue times (at least for me and my d2 friends)
when you are in promos you will not get autofilled if you are not diamond+ you will not get autofilled
therefore you dont need to worry my friend
Marshbouy1 votesit's in all elos. just more prevelant in diamond and other high elos because of the lack of players. if you play at like 12 am or 8 am when everyone is either asleep or at work/school you can get it, even in silver/gold.

I know this because I got an alert that popped up informing me about autofill when i got into a ranked lobby after I reached diamond.
Edit: Never mind, they made a post a few weeks back saying it is now for all elos, and even in normal draft games. (Meaning it used to be diamond+ so I was still right :D)

the old system I could get my role most of the time by politely asking and showing proof of my alphaness through my match history on op.gg. Now, if I get autofilled, most people wont trade because they want to keep their "assigned" roles
I can't complain about the new champ select though, I definitally like it better! :D
